I've not tried Solotica lenses, but I'm looking forward to the pictures of you and your colored contacts. Like children, I enjoy looking at the pictures.

What other brands have you tried in the past?

me tooo.....well i bought a buncha Freshlooks Hazel+Gray was my Fav. Also tried Coopers Expression lenses in Topaz Blue and Aqua. They r more intense and not bad but still feshlook rocks for me.
Now I liked how I looked w lenses so much that I am investing in Waicon and Solotica. They r worth it if they look as natural as I see on peoles pages. Plus the vendor i bought it from emailed me some pics of his costumers w lenses on. I will be posting pics soooon

We'll be looking forward to those picture. Like Hogwartz says, people--even grown up people--like looking at pictures.

I'm just a little concerned about you buying them cheap on Amazon. I'd rather buy them from a website that specializes in contact lenses, even if they did cost a little more. To me it's like buying medicine from a toy store, you know?

Default lenses on Amazon

Really? dont think those websites that specialize in lenses r the same as Amazon? I just trust Amazon since they guarantee delivery+my $ back..... my lenses came super fast and they were exactly what i wanted( for the price). Also i can buy in pairs rather than boxes. Specially when I am not sure I will like a color i dont want to invest in a whole box. Really u rather pay more? why not try something new

I'm afraid I'm going to have to side with Guinness on this one, loveme. I like the idea of buying a single pair of contact lenses, but like Guinness said, Lens.com sells nothing but contact lenses and Amazon sells all kinds of stuff. The people at Lens.com have their finger on the pulse of the contact lens wearing public as well as the manufacturers. If some new product is introduced, if a particular brand is very popular, or if something has to be recalled, I bet Lens.com will hear about it before Amazon.

I'm not knocking Amazon. It's a great website with fantastic bargains on a wide variety of products, but when it comes to very personal items like contact lenses, I'm going to go to Lens.com, and yes, I'd rather pay more for peace of mind.

It would appear that Solotica lenses are still not available at lens.com. So it looks like you will have to look elsewhere . . . but come right back, ya hear?

Default i have to say..

i do not get it why Europeans have better colored lenses than we do in the US? Like I just found out Bauch and Laumb has great colors that they distribute only to Europe i am happy with my Soloticas but why dont they get us some great colored lenses and give them to Europeans? I am going to ask the vendor on Amazon if they can get some B&L Platinum lenses( i saw on youtube and loved it). Anyone knows why we don't have those colors in the US? If its good enough for Europe and Brazil and UK how come the same US company doesn't give us the same colors?

Woah, let's hear it for the Solotica Club!

Okay. Posting pictures.

1. First of all, take some pictures and save them on your computer.

2. Go to the Color Contact Lenses section of Lens 101. (This one you're in right now.)

3. Scroll down a bit from this space and find the button that says "Post Reply." Click on that.

4. Click the button marked "Manage Attachments."
A box will open up that has two spaces to enter text. The top one says "Upload File from your Computer" and next to the space it says "Browse." Click "Browse" and find the picture you want to attach.

5. Double click on that picture, and the page with all your pictures on it should close and the URL for the picture should appear in the text box.

6. Click "Upload." After a few seconds you should see the name of the picture you uploaded.

7. Then close the box, click "Submit Reply", and

8. Admire your handiwork.

If you have any more questions, let me know.

Okay, we'll be waiting.

Are you brave enough to pose for a "before" picture with no contacts, no hair extensions and natural nails, then post an "after" picture so we can compare?

Thanks for sharing, loveme. I think I read on here somewhere that a woman was asked "Are those yours?"
In response she said "Of course they are. I paid good money for them."

I'll leave the identity of "them" to your imagination.

Forgive my ignorance, but what does your workplace have to do with putting your picture up on this website? If you do it at home on your own time, would your work have a problem with that?

To be honest with you I would have a hard time calling a girl "pretty" if she had fake eyelashes, color contacts, a nose job, chin implant, hair extensions and tattooed makeup. That's not pretty, that's "well-constructed."

I agree Guiness. Colored contacts are one thing, but if they're added to a lot of other artificial ingredients, it's like a big deception, you know? I bet a lot of these women (and men) would look just fine without all the modifications.

I'm not picking on you, loveme. I just believe that even though I've never seen you, you're probably better looking than you give yourself credit for.

I don't know anything about the Waicon lenses, but for Bausch and Lomb, just click on the red bar below that says "lens.com." They sponsor this site and so I think they'd appreciate it if you bought contacts from them.

I couldn't find them either--and then I learned why not. Here's what the B & L website says:

"Question
Do you sell colored/tinted contact lenses?
Answer
No, Bausch & Lomb does not manufactures colored or tinted contact lenses that enhance or change the natural color of the eye in the United States. Most of our contact lenses have a visibility tint to help when handling the lens, but this visibility tint does not enhance or change the natural color of the eye."

Can you take some pictures at home? Me, myself, personally, I don't like eyeball pictures. People get color contacts so people will look at their faces, not their eyes.

Have you been able to find your way around Lens.com, algorn1313? I'd like to help you out, but Bausch and Lomb makes a lot of different kinds of contact lenses. Which ones were you looking for?

If you look in the thread up there, it says that Bausch and Lomb does not make color contact lenses. Observe:

Since there are no colored contact lenses made by Bausch & Lomb, have you considered a different brand? I don't have any experience with colored contact lenses, so I wonder if one of my colleagues can make any recommendations.

What an adventure. I tried a Google search for a picture of the Platinum B & L lenses and for pages and pages all they had was vaguely related stuff and a video clip here and there. I didn't want to post a video here, so I continued searching until I found the picture you see below. The website also referred to them as "stunning," and I think they are in this picture. Enjoy the picture because it took me like, 15 or 20 minutes to find it!

Here's something else, and maybe I should start a new thread with this, but here goes. The page said "I know its a bit of an extreme beauty measure but I'm maybe a teeeeensy bit curious to see what I look like with blue or green eyes (my eyes are naturally a boring dark brown). It's definitely not something I want to wear regularly but . . . "

Would you consider colored contact lenses an "extreme beauty measure"?

If by "B & l" you mean "Bausch and Lomb," those are available in the United States; unlike Solotica lenses which I believe come from Brazil--

home of rain forests,

Rio

and the Brazilian bikini wax.

It looks like your pictures are in the code, but for some reason the pictures do not show up in the thread. Maybe a Forum Administrator can help out.
