Cool Clearly Colors - Aqua

(my natural color is brown/hazel) I bought these last year for halloween. I was a vampire and wanted something extreme, and as you can see they are just that. These lenses last a very long time, they are vial lenses, they cost about $25 per lens. not to bad, and a good thing about these is that they are actaully very comfortable. About 5 min. after you put them in and get use to them, you can't even tell you have them in at all!!! I was very suprised. So I bought some amber ones to. (don't have a pic of those yet)

But of course they look kinda goofy. But when your somewhere dark, like the bar, people actaully just look at you, and say "omg, your eyes are sooo pretty!" at first they don't think they are fake till i say something. lol They look good in a not so well lit area, but in pictures they look totally fake. I wish I could find the comfort of these lenses in some other more natural ones. If anyone knows of any, please let me know! lol

These contact lenses give you a dramatic look, Deejayt. In this picture they're not very subtle, but you don't always want to be subtle. They're a nice color. Is that the one they call "Aqua-tic Allure"? How do you say that? Is it like the word "aquatic" or is it two words as in "aqua-tick"?

Hi Deejayt.

I hope those lenses look better in dimmer light. With the extreme closeup you posted it's hard to see your face, but your hair looks nice. I think those contacts probably look better under normal indoor lighting conditions and at a more socially acceptable distance. I doubt you get in people's faces like that and go "Hi, I'm Deejayt. What's your name?"
In dimmer light, you're pupils will be bigger as well and your true eye color won't show through the pupil opening of the contacts as much.

If you're looking for more natural looking contact lenses, try the sponsor of Lens 101, which is lens.com. Just click the red rectangle up there at the top of the page. See it? It's flashing the message "Why pay more for contact lenses?"

Welcome to "Hooked on Phonics . . . and Contacts."

Thanks for the pronunciation help. Do they really spell it "Aqua-tic" with the dash in the middle like that?

can't really remember, you would have to go look. But I think so. They all have some funny names, like Amber Ambition, was one of them.

"Amber Ambition." I like that. I checked their website and they also have Brown Bombshell, Green Envy, and one called "Violet Venom" but I don't like the idea of venom in my eyes. Plus if I'm going to wear color contacts, I want people to be attracted to them, not poisoned by them.

I think maybe the Clearly Colors Marketing Team may have dropped the ball on that one.

I can just imagine the meeting.

"Okay team, come up with a name for these violet contact lenses."
"Purple Passion."
"Sex and Violet."
"Victory in Violet."
"How about 'Violet Venom?'"
"Perfect! 'Violet Venom' it is. You get a raise for that, Johnson!"
"Thank you, Sir."

Eyeofthetiger either did not look at your profile page, or else he/she is being funny. I checked it out and it appears that you are over 21. Barely. You have a really nice profile picture there. Is that your natural eye color?

We like to look out for each other in the Lens 101 community. Take care of yourself and be safe. We want you to keep on posting pictures of yourself in those colored contact lenses.

26 is barely over 21. It's not like your 41. Five years isn't that long, in defense of Spongebob.

Thank you for the new postings. Those are some extreme closeups there. You must have quite a camera there.

Awesome. Do you have any friends that wear contacts and might agree to letting you take their pictures and post them here?

Well, it looks like you've got some selling to do. "Come on guys! See how great I look? You can look this good too. Buy some color contact lenses! Please? Come on. I'll be your friend."

Remember that we were kids? "Please? I'll be your friend."
"I thought you were my friend."

Or, if your Burns and Allen.

"What can I do to get you to help me? Hey, you know those golf clubs I always use?"
"Yeah,"
"They're yours."
"I know they're mine, I want them back!"
"You'll get them back when you help me."

Burns and Allen. Good stuff. They don't make comedy routines like that any more.

They don't make comedy routines any more, do they? It's either a stand-up comedies or sitcoms pretty much.

Apparently someone dosen't know how to read. It is Aquatic as in the way it is spelt. Otherwise it would have a K at the end like your "Aquatick" saying.

When it comes to advertising and brand names, all bets are off for spelling and grammar. Think of all the brands out there with words like "kwik" and "rite" and "lo" in their names.

I can't think of any off-hand, but you know what I mean, right? Just try doing a Google search for the term "odd brand spelling" and be prepared for several minutes of your precious time to tick away forever, in exchange for no brand names with unusual spellings. Then proceed to bang your head against the wall a few times.

Anybody know how to repair a wall?

If not, how about a couple of Tylenol?

I'm sorry your experience has been so painful JTKirk. Maybe you should have just done a search for the words.

Here's what I found:

kwiksew
Kwik Goal Soccer Store
Kwik Kopy Print Communications
Kwik Mart (Not Kwik-E-Mart)

Stride Rite
Sand-Rite Manufacturing Company
Air Rite Filtration

BI-LO, Personalize Your Shopping Experience
Hi-Lo Trailer Co
Lo-Fi Saint Louis

And so on.

Wow. Have you taken your own advice? I guess not assuming you obviously not being you haven't even googled it. How do I know that? Well.... because I did. Now go Google and stop quoting me for useless things like what you just said.

What did you Google? "Odd brand spelling" like JTKirk did? I tried it myself and experienced similar results, although I'm guessing I quit sooner.

At any rate, this thread is about Deejayt's aqua-colored contact lenses. Do you like them, even if she herself admits that the color is over the top?

I know the google thing had nothing to do with this. I was just tring make a statement. The color is cool, and I do like it.

This picture makes the contacts look pretty fake, but maybe if you don't look so close they might look more natural.

Deejayt, do you have another picture you can post with your Color Contact Lenses from a more natural distance? I thought I saw some in another thread, didn't I?

So how did people react to your costume, Deejayt? Did anyone comment specifically about your eyes?

Are you getting tired of teenage vampire angst like I am?
