Question I-luxinnova Colored contacts?

Check out this webiste,
http://i-luxinnova.com/
they have a ton of colored contacts and some of them look pretty awesome!!! The website doesn't sell lenses, just give you a list of what they make. I-Lux Inova is the name of the Manufactuer I think.
Anyone ever tried any of the lese lenses??

Hi Deejayt,

I checked out that website and they have some interesting lenses there. but you're right, there doesn't seem to be any way to buy them, so I can't see the point of the website. "See these contact lenses, aren't they beautiful? You can't buy them though, just look."

If you actually want to buy some special effects/novelty contact lenses, try lens.com. http://www.lens.com/contact-lenses/lens228.asp

Hey, you can actaully buy some of those lenses, they are at a different website called www.color-my-eyes-.com they have most of the ones seen at the website I first listed. And a few others that look pretty intresting to.
Check out
www.color-my-eyes.com They seem legit, I think i may have ordered from them before a long time ago. They just have a very large selection of colored lenses. Some of them only come in plano though.

He may be Dr. Jack, with his white lab coat and radiant smile, but he's not "Just Jack!"

Default they are real

Just so everyone knows, I orderd some contacts off www.color-my-eyes.com and they are for real. I got them. And I got them really fast and shipping is very cheap, like $4.50 I got then within 4 days. Very cheap contacts, and fast shipping. I got a different brand though.

Sounds like you scored some good lenses there, Deejayt. Would you, or anyone else reading this forum, happen to know how color-my-eyes.com compares to lens.com in terms of price, shipping charges and shipping time?

I'm guessing that your contacts arrived in good condition and the lenses you got were exactly the ones you ordered?

Its actaully not the first time I ordered from that site.
The shipping was only $4 and it took about 4 days after I ordered to get them. And I got the right lenses, and everything, but one lens was already scratched, or soemthing, it just didn't feel right, felt like a grain of sand was in my eye everytime I would blink, Unless I turned it inside out. it was strange. But I think that would have been the Manufacture's fault. I think the seller, "color-my-eyes" doesn't actaully pack and handle the lenses right? I would asume they order wholesale from a manufacture. I don't know. But last year I ordered some and they were perfect. I still have them, they last a long time. The ones I ordered from color-my-eyes I made a video of them,
http://www.youtube.com/user/djtfst1984#p/a/u/0/5GVMBywM2gI
leave a comment and let me know what you think. But I can't wear them because of the one that is goofy. Kinda sucks! Cause they look so natural in person and on video.

Hi Deejayt,

I'm sorry you got a damaged lens. Were you able to get a free replacement lens or anything?

I looked at that video you posted on YouTube. The contacts look nice, but the camera zoomed in so close that it was kinda blurry. I got an idea about the color, but I couldn't really tell how realistic they looked.
I noticed that in the video clip you were blinking a lot. Was that because the lenses were uncomfortable or was it just weird to be on camera?

Anyway, I don't mean to be critical. I'm glad you posted that video clip. Someone else on here said that the clips are going to catch on, and I agree. Thank you for your time, Deejayt.

I didn't get a replacement lens. I emailed the website and never got a response. And haven't gotten around to calling them. I guess I don't really care about it to much. And about the camera, it was kinda blurry, its just a digital camera that does video. But thats really what they look like in person. And I was blinking to just add some effect and show that they don't move around on the eye when you blink like some contacts do. The one that wasn't scratched felt great, had no problems with it. I really wish I could wear them though!

That's a good idea, Deejayt. Show the People that the contacts stay put when you blink. I wouldn't have thought of that.

That's not surprising, coming from someone who calls themselves "don't blink."

I'm glad you did that. Have you ever seen someone blink and knock their contact lenses askew? That would look weird, wouldn't it?

She looked like she knocked more than her contacts askew. She still looks good though. It takes a very pretty girl to still look pretty even when she's making a funny face.

Nice looking contacts, Deejayt. I've seen some of the pictures you've posted here and they look good on you. Do you have any plans to post more videos? I'd like to see one where someone interviews you and we see your contacts as we might see them in real life. The closeups were a good way to show the color and fit, but most people won't be looking at you so closely. What do you say?

That's a good idea. Have the person holding the camera ask you how long you've been wearing the contacts and how comfortable they are. Stuff like that. It'll be bigger than YouTube.

I went to this site again, and I still didn't see a way of ordering anything, or even prices. You'd be better off ordering from Lens.com. Just click the Magic Red Button.

Yes, the Magic Red Button is the best way to order contact lenses.

It's too bad that the website doesn't seem to have a way to order. I guess it's their loss.

I think I read someplace that you only have a few seconds for your website to attract someone's attention and get them to buy your product. I looked at this site and I saw some nice-looking lenses, but I've never heard of the brands they were selling, they only come in one base curve and two diameters at best, and after a search of maybe a full minute, I still didn't find a button that says "Click Here to Order" or something helpful like that. Lens.com has a button that says "Add to Cart."
That site just shows you some contact lenses and says, in effect "Hi, welcome to I-Lux-Inova. Aren't these contacts nice? Pretty models, too, eh? Well, thanks for looking. Bye now!"

That sounds like a very poorly-designed website. I hope the contact lens sellers aren't scratching their heads and going "Why aren't we getting any orders from the web site?"

Apparently the site doesn't have anything you can click to order lenses, but they do have a "contact us" link which goes to innovav@gmail.com. (Do business have a Gmail account, or just individuals? Hmmm . . . )
Anyway, you may want to shoot them an email telling them that they need to put a link to an order form or something on that site.

Wow. It sure was fun scrolling down from the top of this thread all the way down to the bottom. All kinds of interesting pictures taken out of context.

OK, one more time, and then I gotta go.
