Default Hidrocharme

is the one with darker ring, i got the Natural Colors which have a slight lighter ring...the seller on Amazon helped me pick it based on my photos I emailed her..although i like the darker ring this girl has, i have light hair so the lighter ring b better since the darker ring would look too much.

Would you like to post a picture of your light-haired self with your Natural Colors contacts in place?

Is that what you meant in your previous posting when you said "I have light hair"?

Looking forward to those pictures.

So you recognized the picture of the girl from her blog? If you'd never seen this girl before, would you be able to tell that she was wearing Solotica Hidrocharme?

In a picture? Most likely not. I don't know how anyone could know with certainty from a picture at that distance. I might have better luck with a close up picture with good lighting, but then again, I've never been put to the test. So I can try, but there are no guarantees.

Though, I'm sure that if I ever saw her in person I'd most likely be able to tell.

Do you meet many people in your day-to-day life that wear Solotica contact lenses? I may have, but I'm, not that good at recognizing contacts of any brand.

Yeah, I've seen a couple. I can't usually tell from far away, but if I'm up close having a face to face conversation with them, so far I have been able to tell.

Oh, so you DO have pictures? Now that you have those beautiful Natural Colors, why not show some pictures to your friends here on Lens 101? Look around. There are lots of pictures posted on this site and none of them got comments like "Oo, you're really ugly!" Go ahead, don't be shy.

That's two "definitely"s and four months since you posted them. This thread has turned into a bunch of people saying "Where are the pictures, loveme?"

Thanks for the link heidi. When I saw the shirtless guy with the tattoos I almost closed the tab. I stuck around though and saw this gentleman modeling his contacts in various lighting conditions.
So if anyone is reading this and would like to post some pictures, make sure we can see your whole face in or or two of them, and not just closeups of your eyeball. It's nice to see how invisible a contact lens is close up, but I also like to see how they look in relation to the whole face, since that is most likely the context in which people will see them.
Different lighting conditions are also good, such as sunlight, shade and indoor artificial light.
Pictures in complete darkness are not necessary.

I just did the same thing.

I guess if you want to get someone to stop and look at your post, just put a big black square in it.

I prefer pictures where I can see the person's whole face as well. We need more of those pictures here.

The model is cute, but her colored eyes are a bit too wide.

To paraphrase Douglas Adams: They give me the unnerving impression that she's about to go for the neck.

Default i bought these contacts same color based on her photo

If anybody is interested in solitica be forwarnned that if you are buying it for the limbal ring and your eye diameter is 14.0 like mine....the limbal ring WONT show up. Big big disappoint for me. Such an expensive pair plus shipping was crazy high. They are extremely beautiful but man I so wanted that grey limbal ring :-(( I wish I could show you what I mean but I gave them to my sister already

Sorry about that lisaeckman27. There are a lot of posts on this site about Solotica lenses, even though the sponsor does not sell them. I always though that Solotica lenses were perfect. I think this is the first time I've read about someone who didn't like them.

Have you looked at the Vial Contact Lenses on Lens.com? You'll probably find some nice limbal rings there. Here's a thread about the rings around Natural Touch contact lenses:

http://www.lens101.com/natural-touch-opaque/6434-natural-touch-limbal-ring.html

Here's where you can buy them:

I've heard some good things about those vial lenses, ICU2. I think they look just as good as anything Solotica has to offer.

I've never heard of a grey limbal ring. You're saying that these contact lenses have a grey ring around the edge? Is it dark grey or light grey?

Thumbs up Here are the best colored contacts!!!!

I have put these up on a different thread as well, but saw this thread and can give my opinion on the best great looking colored contacts. Not expensive either! Thanks for copying those pictures into this thread, Deejayt. There's no denying that these lenses make the wearer look good. The right makeup and lip gloss won't hurt either.
Hey, do you have any pictures on this site where you're smiling. The pout is nice, but a smile would probably look even better.

I can see a dark ring around the edges of the contacts.

Do you know anything about that "grey limbal ring" that lisaeckman27 mentioned when she (he?) said "They are extremely beautiful but man I so wanted that grey limbal ring."

I don't know anything about a grey limbal ring lens, just the black one. I posted about it, just search for allure limbal ring only lens.

and to the guy above that asked if these lenses are brown.... The first picture is of my brown eyes, the last two are not brown, they are called sky-blue. If they look brown, then something must be wrong with your computer monitor.

Thanks for clarifying the limbal ring confusion. I've only seen black limbal rings myself.

I wonder if someone can post a picture illustrating this ring. I couldn't find anything when I searched Google.

That's a really great idea. More people should do that here. Post a picture and then let the members of Lens 101 decide what color they should get.

I said in my last post to do a quick search here on lens101 for limbal ring only and you would find my post, but I have some new photos of me wearing them that I can post right here. the 1st photo is just my normal eye, and the others are with the limbal ring contact lens. as you can see its just a black circle that goes around the eye to make it look bigger or to stand out more.

Thank you for those beautiful examples of what limbal rings look like, Deejayt. They look good on you.

Hey, do you have any pictures on this site where you're smiling. The pout is nice, but a smile would probably look even better.
Ok here is the smile your looking for. And i'm wearing those same blue contacts.

I don't think I've heard of "fxeyes." Lens.com doesn't sell them, do they?

Nope. No fxeyes on Lens.com. Maybe because they're reeeeally expensive.

Yeah it seems like they stay away from a lot of the high-end contact lenses, although they do sell some vial lenses that can last for a year, so they can be costly up front.

My natural eye colour is dark greenish yellow; sounds odd but they're still dark in colour so when heard about Solotica being able to cover dark eyes with a natural look I couldn't wait to try them out! Anyway I have attached some photos for anyone interested in buying them so you can see the colour. You cannot notice they are lenses untill very close so that's great. They are comfortable though I only wore them for couple hours today so not sure after a long day how they would feel. They are smaller than most lenses I've purchased. I found this better as fitted eye area perfectly for me. Am new to this site not sure i have posted correctly but thought I'd share with you. Maybe you can go back and make those pictures a bit smaller and replace them. I think there's a thread on here telling you how to do that.

Better yet, when you learn how to make the pictures smaller, maybe you can start a new thread. This one's getting a bit too long.

Cibavision Illusions

They had an iris pattern with cibasoft translucent tint on top and gave the most realistic eye color change and covered up a brown eye totally.

Bummer they are discontinued.

My fav color was soft blue.

Illusions opaque lenses had a technology no other company had.....the lenses had a opaque pattern with a ciba soft tint over top. It was totally opaque and covered up brown eyes.
