Hey, I decided to buy Soloticas yesterday as well, I chose Hidrocor Grafite. I made a thread two days ago asking for suggestions... but no one really suggested anything, the place is kinda dead. lol. I went with Grafite though and I also purchased them from wrlens.com, I've researched enough to know that they're reliable so you can feel relieved. lol. Also, it depends on whether you chose contacts with vision correction in them, or if they have the color you chose, or a combination of both cases available in the warehouse, your shipping time can vary. I read it under "shipping and returns", it's under "information" on the side-bar.

No, I guess Lens.com does not carry Solitica. That's too bad because there's quite a few people here who wear them. Maybe someone from the company will read this thread and make some changes.

OMG i just got them!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

they look weird when im not wearing make up so i HAD to put some on:/

they do look a bit fake up close

but still pretty
and i really dont get why ppl are [complaining] about the comfort. they're pretty comfortable to me, and my base curve is 8.4

Welcome to Lens 101, Heidi. I think you look great in your Solotica lenses. They do look a little fake up close, but from a distance they look pretty good. I think if I were to see you in line at a coffee shop, I'd probably look at your face and hair and decide that you look pretty nice. I wouldn't think "She's wearing colored contact lenses." In casual contact they look really good.

hey! I also bought some on an impulse and am waiting for them to arrive. Did you buy from wrlens.com? you may have already said this, if so sorry! It looks like it took about 10 to get to you. What state do you live and were your contacts rx or just cosmetic? ... I'll post pics as soon as i get mine too! thanks.

it took almost a week to process and 2 weeks to ship [to california]. mine are prescription and prescription soloticas take an extra week as opposed to the regular ones. Wrlens is a really good place to buy from, they always reply to your emails and the shipping was what they told me to expect. :} im getting hidrocharme mels soon too!!!!

the first few days are a little uncomfortable but i got used to them. the only thing i dont like about them is that they dry my eyes within 5 hrs

I've seen a few people on this site modeling Solotica lenses. It seems like you can see some of the natural color through the pupil opening, but there's no sharp border between the two. The contact lens color kind of fades into the natural color gradually. Has anyone else noticed that?

they dry out my eyes in 5 or 6 hrs so i have to use eyedrops. other than that i love them! i cant wait to get my hidrocharme mels :} in a few days. im gonna put up pics when i get them asap.

Give them a little time, heidi. Have you worn contact lenses before? If you have, you probably know that there's a period of adjustment.

I realy nervious and enxious because the payment taken from my credit card but I really dont know what happaning with the shippment..

Hi Barbie1. Welcome to Lens 101.

Sorry to hear about your trouble with WrLens. I've read about them on this site a few times but I don't know much about them. My guess is that they usually do a good job but sometimes mistakes are made and unfortunately, they made some mistakes with your order. Can you contact your credit card company and stop payment? If the lenses finally do show up, just send them back.

I hope you can get this thing sorted out. Let is know at Lens 101, okay?

It's hard to see your contact lenses in those pictures, but you look nice anyway. I saw some of the other pictures you've already posted and the contacts look great. i had the same question ant first cuz the ices took foreeevvver to come....

it depends whether or not theyre prescription and if they have them in stock or need to get them manufactured

After ordering i've noticed that they are not responding, so after a few mails i've sent, i sent them one more, out of my sister's mail..and a few hours later i got an answer!

Looks like you spent about $75 plus shipping on impulse. That's not so bad. I though these beautiful lenses would be more expensive than that.

I acually had an issue w Wr lens but may be that was me, it took them 2-3 weeks to send me the WRONG lens

and no refund and no communication there! They sent me on NC Ice and One NC Grafite!! By mistake I got one of each...now I buy from Bonanzle.com, the vendor is in US and took them a week to get me my lenses. I was happy so I got more. Its addictive

First they responded to my questions with in a day, they spoek English thank god and helped me pic the colors I wanted. Someof their colors is in stok and they shipped with in 3days and they give u tracking.
I just want someone in the US so I can communicate well with. Wr lens is in Brazil or somethig and takes them fr ever to respond and if I have a problem I dont know who to complaint to! In Bonanzle its like Amazon , i knew i there is something fishy I could always complain to the site (which is also US based).

I will for sure get more lenses from them, for $20 more or so i have a peace of mind and get my lenes fast and get fast response to my questions

I have not had success w Wr, the other one I have never used but after Wr I promised i would never deal with a vendor that is not based in US plus I want to deal with a site that I can complain if anything goes wrong. thats just me and my bad experience, they send me wrong color , i had one of each colors in my box instead of two of the same color. But they never acknowledged it! Thats why I stuck to Bonanzle.com this time and so far been happy.

I saw those videos and yes, you're fidgety, but you're cute and the contact lenses look nice on you. Your eyes look nice and clear, not red and sore, and that tells me the lenses are comfortable, and that's probably peoples' #1 concern with contacts. From the conversational distance between you the camera, they look natural. The pupil holes aren't too big or anything.

It was kinda freaky when you slid the contact lens aside to show your true eye color, though.

Their prices are really quite reasonable. I've seen them advertised on another site for twice as much like it was a good deal.

Thanks for sharing the videos, heidi. It's nice to see a demonstration in addition to the pictures. They look like they were taped in some kind of grass hut. That was different, but a nice different.

I have the Solotica Hidrocharme Mel and I do not like them. The color is a weird glowing green and the pupil hole is too big. Since there is no color mixing, they don't look as natural as far as the color goes. They also are not very comfortable because they dry out very quickly. I also think they may look better on girls than guys. I also ordered Quartzo and Ice-mint but they have not come in yet. However all my research on Quartzo show that they are VERY FAKE because its not a realistic color. I have my fingers crossed that the Icemint work or else I will have given up on Solotica and my next try will be Waicon.

UHG! Sorry I forgot to post when I got my new lenses from wrlens.com. I've ordered ICE in both NATURAL ICE (line around contacts) which are pictured here and in HIDROCOR ICE which were to "flat" for my natural light green eye color.

I LOOOOVVE these contacts. They make my eyes GLOW! Im going to try the new ICE mint soon.

My experience is this: For years Ive looked for a colored contact that would lighten my original eye color to a bright stand out color. I have green eyes and didnt want the painted look that other contacts provide. Ive tried so many I could write reviews as a profession! However, I ordered my contacts in the color ICE and cant leave the house without receiving a compliment on my eyes. This is not an exaggeration. I am so thrilled I ordered a second pair just in case something happens to these.

Delivery is a little slow compared to some companies based in the US but thats because, well, they are based in the US. Hope this helps anyone considering a purchase from wrlens. :-)

i think theyre really pretty on you, just by looking at the skin color around your eye i can tell that the olive color suits your tan skin. but thats just my opinion...

They look amazing, so so natural, they puoil area just blends in so well and color looks ice baby blue. Congrads, great choice of color

I have them in Ice and mel and on my dark brown eyes the Mels look the most natural

Hello there, Beach026. Thanks for posting a picture of yourself with your Natural Ice contact lenses. They really look nice, although I can still see a dark ring around your pupil, but it's subtle.
I'm glad to see that you think you might be able to write reviews professionally. You're in the right place, although Lens 101 will probably not pay you.

I hope you will go ahead and write some reviews anyway. Look around at the different brands that are included and see if any of them sound familiar.
There are a lot of people asking questions, but precious few are answering them, or writing reviews. They could sure use your help. To me that's the most useful thing a person can do here.

As soon as I get my camera figured out. I personally like the Icemints and they look more natural than the Quartzos but I am a female and I guess its all a matter of taste. The vendor I dealt with was very nice and guided me through many pictures.. its a personal issue and a matter of taste. I think the Hidrocharme lenses may be a bit more un natural than the Natural Colors but I still like them. I hope we hear from the guy that didnt like his Hidrocharmes.

well the vendor was on one site and now they moved. I just asked them about pictures and they emailed me a bunch depending on what lens I was interested in or what effect I wanted. Now they are on another site (dont want to mention since i dont want people to think I am advertising) but they have tons of pics of people w the Soloticas. They were so helpful in helping me pick the lens and color I wanted. I must have emailed back and forth 10x. But finally I made up my mind.

Hi loveme. I hope you can help nika248 out, and I appreciate your not advertising websites here that compete with Lens.com. They have a great website, but they can't stock everything.

I'm just concerned about the "super cheap" part. I don't know about nika248, but I wouldn't want to put anything "super cheap" in my eyes, you know what I mean?

Loveme thanks for your reply, I serached white manson on youtube and they look fake I think they are intended to create a vampire look or something. I want something that looks natural because I will be wearing them most of the time. I have dark brown eyes and thats why Im looking for something opaque that will make my eye color lighter without looking fake. I've never used soloticas before but from all the research Ive done it seems like they are the most popular contacts right now.
Does lens.com sell soloticas?

Ok I see what ur looking for, yes the Manson lenses are theatrical. Some rocker and goth people wear them everyday

If you want ur eyes lighter, the Soloticas are the one of teh best lenses I have come across but the Blanc color you chose will look fake,I have seen it...its a theatrical line of Solotica.
Look at Solotica Ice, the Solotica Natural Ice is beautiful and so is the Hidrocore Ice. If you want I can give you the website of that vendor and they are so friendly and ask them for pictures of Ice. Seriously I think the other color will be mistake since its a theatrical line of Soloticas. I wont name the website on this page but you can email me if you want or if its ok with the board I will announce the site.
They dont offer Solotica here

they have a great selection of lenses but cannot carry every line I guess

Hi everyone! I heard raving reviews about solotica lens from wrlens.com and decided to buy two pairs. I placed the order on 3/25/11 and only got one response back from wrlens regarding the processing/shipping delay.
It tells you to check status online but it hasn't changed since... Did I get scammed
