I don't mean brown eyes. I mean dark brown eyes as is seen in Asians and African Americans.

I know that I have seen that picture of the little girl before, however can't recall where. Am curious as to where you located it? |

I recognised that photo also but I didn't remember her pupils being so tiny. She looks like she was on opiates, but since she was only 12 at the time I guess the sun must have been very bright.

I found this recently. Compare what this lady looked like in 1984, and then how she looked in 2002. Her name is Sharbat Gula. Here's the extraordinary story of these two pictures: http://ngm.nationalgeographic.com/2002/04/afghan-girl/index-text |

Just think. Those captivating eyes that haven't faded are not the result of contact lenses. |

Anybody got a picture of Oprah with green eyes? I found Smokey.

The little girl in the picture has the almost the same color of eyes as my Solotica Quartzo lenses. And the answer is "no" I can not pull it off. They are a beautiful color when I look in the mirror but they are so bright and light in color that they do not look real on me at all. I was told to only wear them at night which I may try. Here is the picture:

![]() Aw, I can't lie to my friends at Lens 101. I was a tad older than that 18 years ago. 18 years ago in 1992 . . . I was in college. ![]() ![]() |

A tad older than what? I have a feeling that you forgot to attach a picture somewhere.

Give me a contact that color and I will certainly TRY to pull it off! :-D I fall into the "African American" category. I think I might be able to, though. I'm going to try the Solotica lenses one of these days. When I do, I will certainly let you know!

Do you wear contacts now? If so, how would you feel about submitting a "before" picture? Then when you get your green contacts, we'll see the "after" effect. What do you say? |

I will post my natural eye color and the contacts I currently wear. Then I will post the Soloticas if and when I get them. For now, I have posted my green Freshlook Colors Opaques in another thread. They do NOT look natural, but it's still a pretty effect. . . here is the web address. . . http://www.lens101.com/freshlook-colors-opaque/5493-will-green-freshlook-colors-opaques-show-up-dark-brown-eyes.html Until later! I have to upload recent pictures of my dark brown eyes from my camera. It's a lot better than the one I used to take the Freshlook Colors. |

Yes, the green is pretty dark. I'm actually not sure if they are supposed to be dark or if it is just my natural eye color making them appear darker. . . I believe they are supposed to be a dark green, but I'm not sure. I'm sure they would be lighter on a light eye, though. Thanks again! I will be posting more pictures very soon! |

Oh, okay. Thanks for the picture. Glad it wasn't just me, even though that's a bit lighter than it appears on me. . . .

Are you asking if someone with brown eyes can get contacts that will give them green eyes like she has?
|
|
|||

I thought the question was asking if it could be pulled off as looking natural. Only because I think everyone knows dark brown eyes can indeed be covered up by color contacts. This forum shows you that fact. But, I could be wrong.
I personally believe it depends on both the lenses and the persons skin tone. There's someone on here that is African-American with colored contacts that look it could be her natural color. I think they are green. Solotica lenses I believe. |

However my boyfriend has those eyes naturally, with the yellow around his pupil and light blue-gray around the majority of his iris. Sooooo beautiful, but they don't look as freaky as her's do.

I bet the photographer said "Hey Oprah, show me your green contacts!"
