Hi, well I'm thinking about getting colored contacts for the first time and I'm not sure what color to go with but I know I either want Waicon or Solitica(sp?). I posted a picture belowe, any opinions?
Btw my eyes are light brown, they turn greenish in bright light. Thanks ![]() |

) You remind me of Alanis Morisette, but without all the angst. You might want to go for a more coppery brown color or maybe something in green. Check out Acuvue Colors Opaque. There are some nice blue and green shades there, as well as a Chestnut Brown that might look nice. If you want something different, try the Gray. What do you think? http://www.lens.com/contact-lenses/lens134.asp |

You're welcome.
You mentioned Waicon and Solotica lenses. It looks like you can buy Waicon lenses and have them shipped to the United States, but I think I read someplace that Soloticas are from Brazil and aren't sold to US customers. You may want to check into that, assuming you live in America, of course. With the Internet, you're just not sure these days. Let us know if you buy those green contacts. We want to see you wearing them. |

I would advise you to go with the FreshLook ColorBlends. If it's green contacts you want, they come in Green and also Gemstone Green. You'll get your contacts fast and you'll save money. Those Solotica lenses can get expensive. At Lens Marketplace the Solotica Hidrocor last a year are on sale for $93, down from a regular price of $103.
FreshLook ColorBlends last a month, and you can get them at Lens.com for $30 for a box of six. Look at it this way. If you buy those Soloticas, you're stuck with them. If you buy them and decide you don't like them, you're out almost a hundred dollars. If for some reason you're not really into the ColorBlends, you've only spent $30 on a couple of month's worth of lenses. If you like them, you can buy two more boxes and still not spend as much as you would on the first box of Soloticas. It's your choice, but don't be lured in by those pretty Solotica lenses until you look at all your options. |

(Time to advertise for the sponsor.) Lens.com has Natural Touch contact lenses for $50 a vial, or a hundred dollars for a pair, and they'll last you a year. They look good too. |

Hi Kaitlynnicholle! I'd say blue might not suit your skin tone. I'd go with a lighter softer green which would compliment your natural eye color and not look too fake. I think Freshlooks has a color called Evergreen. It's not an overly bright fake color.

The first thing I noticed was that you've got big eyes. For that reason, you probably don't want to use anything that has that dark "limbal ring" around the edge of the iris. Those are designed to make your eyes look bigger, and you already have nice, big eyes. I would agree with the other people on this forum that you would probably look best with green eyes. How about a vial lens like Durasoft 2 ColorBlends or the ever-popular Natural Touch? These lenses are a little pricey at the outset, but with proper care they can last a full year. http://www.lens.com/contact-lenses/department101.asp What do you think? Yeah, I could agree with that. Green would look nice on you kaitlynnicholle. You should try some of those green FreshLook Colors. Here's a giant picture for you.

I think those are just plain Green lenses. The Gemstone Green contacts aren't as bright.

I know. You would think that something called "Gemstone Green" would be bright and sparkly like an emerald, but these really aren't.

Yeah, everyone's giving her advice and I wonder if she has taken any of it?
