Default Can Converse Accelerate Sunglasses Prevent Blind Spots?

You're driving along in your car on a sunny morning and you stop for a red light. As you're waiting for the light to change a car goes by and reflects the morning sun right into your eyes. Ouch! For the next few seconds, you blink and try and get that spot out from in front of your eyes.
If you had sunglasses on like these Converse Accelerates on, would that prevent the blind spot in the same situation?

My guess is, probably not. Sunglasses are great for protecting you from reflected glare, but when you get a direct flash like that, you will probably still see a dark after image for a while.

Thanks for your answer Nutradude. I think you're probably right about that.

I think I may have had personal experience in that area. Sunglasses can only do so much.

Yeah, if you've ever looked directly into the sun, sunglasses don't help very much. Only the reflected glare of the sun is cut down by sunglasses.

Yes, that's true, so don't look directly into the sun, even when wearing Converse Sunglasses. You could permanently damage your eyes.

If you want to look at the sun, look at the picture here. It's pretty, isn't it? Look at those spots. Did you know that each of those little black dots is about the size of Earth?

It's hard to imagine that there are thousands of things that are bigger than the planet we're standing on.

That picture was also taken through special filters--so as not to destroy the camera I would think.

Did you also notice something else about that picture?

It constantly updates. Check it out. Nutradude posted the picture on November 2, 2011, and yet on the picture itself it's always today's date in day/month/year format. Today happens to be 11-1-11, even though the date by the Sun says 2011-01-11

Wait a minute . . . today is 1-11-2012. So is that what the sun looked like a year ago? I'm confused. Maybe they forgot to change the year.

It still says January 11 though. That's a neat trick, isn't it?

Looks like it stopped automatically updating on January 11, 2011.
