Most of the sunglasses I see here on Lens 101 have either gray or brown lenses. These are green, which is a but unusual. Can anybody tell me the advantage of green lenses in your sunglasses? Will it help you with water sports, since Costa Del Mar Sunglasses are most at home on the water?

There's a post somewhere here on Lens 101 I think, that explains the different functions of different color sunglasses. I remember gray just made things less dazzling, but maintained colors fidelity, while brown lenses increased the contrast between light and dark. I don't remember what green lenses were for though. Anyone else? |
