Default Astimatism?
My best friend wanted to get daily disposable lenses but her doctor said they wouldn't correct her astigmatism.

Is this true or is her doctor behind the times?

Did your best friend ask about a particular brand of daily disposable contacts?

Her doctor may want to check out Lens 101.

contact lenses for astigmatism are called "toric" contacts. If you go to the Toric subcategory here on this site, you'll find contact lenses called "Focus Dailies Toric." So there's at least one. There may be others, but for sure that's one daily disposable toric. Tell your friend to ask about them.

Anyone one else know anything about daily disposable toric contacts?

I did a bit of Internet surfing for you, but I didn't find any daily torics except Focus Dailies Toric and new ClearSight 1 Day Toric.

I hope no one thinks that we're suggesting that Lens 101 members manufacture their own contact lenses at home or something. The idea is to see if we can find out what's so special about toric lenses that none of them seem to be daily disposable contacts.

That's right, Starr. You won't find any recipes for contact lenses on this site. If you follow this thread, you will see that it's about the lack of options if you want daily toric lenses.
