Default Are contacts safe for driving?

I just thought of something. What if your contact lens pops out while you're driving? Is that a significant risk?

If you've got contacts that are fitted properly, there is very little chance that they will just spontaneously "pop out." The surface tension of your tears, as well as your eyelids themselves, will keep them securely in place.
If by some chance that does happen, just calmly pull over to a parking lot if possible or at least the side of the road, and then do a search for your missing contact lens. It might not be a bad idea to keep a pair of glasses in your car so that if the one lens is lost or too contaminated to wear, just remove the remaining lens and put the glasses on.
Keep on truckin'!

Suddenly pop out? You saw some kinds of weird things? How many people who drive have their contact lens suddenly pop out? You tell me the facts.

Well, if you do experience such a case, I hope you didn't have any accident. I pretty sure you are OK as you sounds quite calm in the wordings of your thread. Anyway, to be on the safe side, get a pair of glasses ready in your car drawers for those rare occasions.

I think that was a good suggestion...If you have them maybe keep a pair of glasses in the car just in case. That can save you the hassle of driving around with one eye.
