Hi,
I've been wondering if there's a maximum amount of time you could wear your daily disposable contact lenses before your eyes start to get dry and irritated. Has anyone gone more than twelve hours with contact lenses in and still felt fairly comfortable? Last edited by Wookiee74; 12-12-2007 at 01:49 PM.. |

I know you're probably not going to like this answer, and I'm told "It's not wise to upset a Wookiee."
but here goes. The answer to your question is two words: "It depends." There are a lot of factors involved here. Some factors are with the contact lens, and some are with the one wearing them. I'd say most variables have to do with the wearer. Some people feel fine after wearing daily contacts for 14 hours or more, some get itchy and teary after one hour. If you wear contact lenses and want to know how long they'll feel comfortable, my recommendation would be to try it. As soon as your eyes start to bother you, take your contacts out. It's really not good to get to the point where you can't stand your contacts anymore and then you'll be reluctant to put the new pair in. If you practice I think you'll find that you'll be able to wear your contacts for longer and longer periods of time. |
