Default Contacts for Sports Only
I wear glasses, but for playing sports I'd like to try contacts. Would it be a good idea to buy some inexpensive daily disposable contacts to wear only while on the playing field? This give a whole new meaning to the term "contact sports"!

"Contact sports." Ha, ha. That's cute.

Can you get some cheap disposable contacts that you can wear only when playing sports? In the words of a good friend of mine: "You could, but why?"

IMHO, if I were to go through the trouble of getting fitted for contacts, I wouldn't just wear them when I was playing sports. Especially daily disposable contacts. I'd hate to buy a month's supply and only use three or four pair, and then have to throw the rest away. If you're into sports, then you understand the importance of doing things all the way. If you're going to play baseball, play to hit a home run and make every catch that comes your way. If you're going to wear contacts, wear them every day and show everybody how beautiful your eyes are. (Even if you're a guy.)
