Default Falling Asleep in Your Dailies

I'm taking an informal poll here, so I'd like to get as many responses as possible. That means you.

Haw many times have you accidentally fallen asleep in your daily disposable contact lenses? I'm talking about waking up in the morning after a full night's sleep and going "Uh-oh. I didn't take my contacts out."

Fess up!

Alyssa's right. If you're talking about daily disposable contact lenses--which is the section we're in--you don't have to do anything with them. Just put them in first thing in the morning and throw them away before you go to bed.

Is there something else we can help you with?

Default No One's Owning Up

Well, it looks like we have a good crowd of Lens 101 readers who are careful to take their daily disposables out before bed.
Either that, or nobody's admitting they made a mistake.

It's okay. The reason I asked is because there are a lot of people out there who think that sleeping in Daily Disposable Contact Lenses is not a big deal. I need you to show them that it can be a big deal. Okay?

Possibly, it would cause redness to your eyes. Actually, I don't wear contact lens yet. The reason why I don't wear it is that I might forget to take it off. Are all the contact lenses must be remove before sleeping?

No, you can sleep in certain kinds of contact lenses. Some you can wear day and night for a week, and there are other kinds that can be worn for up to a month without taking them out. Take a look around this site and also at lens.com and check out the different types of contact lenses.

Are you planning on trying contact lenses soon?

Thanks for the advice, skumar, but what about the original question? Have you ever fallen asleep while still wearing your daily disposable contact lenses?
