Daily disposable contact lenses are very convenient because they don't need to be cleaned. They're the paper plates of the contact lens world.
The contacts you can wear for a week or a month are more durable, but that have to be cleaned. Is the time you save in putting your contacts in solution to soak overnight worth dealing with the fragility of daily disposables? |

There's also the ecological impact. True, contacts aren't huge, but enough of them thrown out add up after a while. I'd just as soon go through my nightly routine, which takes less than five minutes.

I still think there needs to be a balance here with what is best for me an what is good for the environment too. |
