If you have LASIK vision correction surgery, is it pretty much inevitable that you will still need glasses or contacts eventually? How long before that happens, assuming that you do everything right as far as taking care of your eyes?

LASIK is very effective for mild and moderate short sightedness. It works by removing your certain amount of tissues from your cornea. This removal of tissues might causes irregularities in the shape of the cornea rendering a less distinctive visions after surgery. So if you experience this problem, you need to go for retreatment.
But there is one catch. If your cornea is too thin after the first surgery, you have no choice other than wearing contact lenses or glasses. |

Don't rush into anything, but don't chicken out either. Get opinions from at least two doctors and keep researching. Keep us posted on what you decide to do, okay?
