Question Are Focus 1-2 Week being phased out?

I have been wearing contacts for 25 years now and have been wearing focus 1-2 week comfortably for many years. However, my doctor told me that he was no longer writing scripts for focus because they were not being manufactored anymore and that as soon as thier current supply ran out, there would be no more. He changed me to the O2 Optix, which I find to be not near as comfortable. Does anyone know if this is true, or is he just trying to push the new Optix for financial reasons?

I also have been wearing contacts for 25 years and focus 1-2 week for many years. The place I've buying them for years ran out of my prescription. One of the office workers at my opthamologist's office has been wearing Avaira and recommended them. I'm just finishing up my second week and they've been great. I found a couple of posts by people who also loved them early on but sometime between 6 months and a year they became less comfortable. I hope that doesn't happen in my case because the vision is great and they don't dry out or blur like my focus 1-2 weeks would if I wore them the full day.

I checked out Lens.com and it seems as though they're still selling Focus 1-2 Week Visitint contacts with no end in sight. You may want to order from them: http://www.lens.com/contact-lenses/lens142.asp

Trouble is, you will need a prescription from your doctor, but if he's not writing prescriptions for them anymore, there may be a problem. Try telling him that you did some research and couldn't find anything about these lenses being discontinued. Don't call him a liar, but ask him for more information about Focus 1-2 Week Visitint contact lenses being discontinued, like when and why.

Anyone who was wearing these have any success in finding an alternative to wear....I haven't found anything close to the way the Focus 1-2 week felt and have tried alot of other brands. Any recommendations would be helpful! Thanks!

Try Air Optix Night & Day Aqua or O2 Optix contact lenses.
