Unhappy Can't Remove Toric Dailies

Help! My eyes are red and scratched from trying to remove my first pair of toric Dailies. I have been wearing contact lenses since 1964 (first hard, then gas permeable then toric soft) and have never had such a problem. I checked Internet sites on removing lenses and that did not help. Has anyone used the suction cup removers that some use for hard lenses? Can anyone suggest techniques for removing them without pawing excessively at my eyeballs? Help!

If you haven't done so, you should probably go to your nearest Emergency Room. Since it's a problem with your eyes they'll probably get you in right away. The ER doctor can get your contacts out without "pawing excessively." He or she can probably get your lenses out in a few minutes and then advise you about getting them out more easily next time.

I hope you're going to be okay. Log in again as soon as possible and let us know, okay?

Best of luck with that, Lyrinda.

Was there something unusual about this wearing of the lenses - Like were they left in for an unusually long time? I saw a warning about that recently.

Vita_man's right. Get some medical attention. I hope you're already done with that whole ordeal be the time you read this.

My best wishes to you Lyrinda.

It's been about six months you you posted about this problem, Lyrinda. Are you doing better?
