Default Adjustment Period for Focus Dalies

Hi.

I've been hearing people talking about Focus Daily contact lenses and how comfortable they are. They said that they often forget that they're wearing them and hardly ever have to use the rewetting drops.
On the other hand, many of these same people said that for the first few days, they had a lot of trouble with the dry feeling that often comes with new contacts. Seems that most people said that if you just stick with your Focus Daily contacts for a week, things will smooth out.
I'm hoping that there's someone who's having trouble with their brand new daily contacts and they come here to Lens 101, and that they find this thread and get a glimmer of home that better days are ahead. I'd like to hear from some other Focus Daily users who know what I'm talking about. Let me hear you, can I get an "amen"?

Enah - perhaps your problem isn't DAILIES. It may be your cornea simply requires more oxygen. Check with your Dr and investigate a silicone hydrogel option. Are you sleeping in lenses? Make sure you let the Dr know so they can prescribe the right lens for how you are or wish to wear it. The CIBA rep was in on Monday and told me about an upgraded/enhanced DAILIES launching July 1. Might want to wait for it. One of my technicians tried a sample she brought it and absolutely loved it. This is a woman I have tried for 5 years to fit in a contact lens. Have my fingers crossed that others like it too.

Hi fschultz4is,

Have those enhanced dailies you mentioned come on line yet? How are they doing?

Thanks for your suggestions, fschultz4is, however, I'm not the one wearing Focus Dailies. I'm just looking into contact lenses in general and haven't even decided if I'm going to try them yet. I'm sure that there are lots of others who have found this information useful.
So have you heard anything more about the upgraded/enhanced Dailies that your technician liked so much? Are they available to the general public at this time?
