I've heard that contacts that say "one day" or "daily" are good for one wear. You put them in, you take them out, you throw them away.
What if you get something in your eye in the middle of the day and you take your contact lens out just to get the offending debris out? Do you have to have to throw the contact lens away because you took it out, even though you've only worn it a few hours? |

the amazing amount of moisture in the Focus Dailies contact lenses makes the contacts so comfortable on the eye that you hardly know you are wearing them. Reading the packaging on my Focus lenses, I noticed that these contacts contain about 70 per cent water, versus 58 per cent water contained in 1 Day Accuvue, the contact lenses I used to wear. It is this high degree of moisture in the Focus Dailies Contact Lenses that provides the all day comfort. (I find I can easily wear these contacts from first thing in the morning until bedtime.)
Focus Dailies Contact Lenses contain a substance called AquaRelease, which has unique moisturizing properties. Each time you blink, the AquaRelease helps keep the contact lenses moist. |

OP, it's fine. AquaRelease ensures that the moisture is released slowly through the day and there's enough to last for a day or so. The contact doesn't disintegrate as soon as you take it out. There have been times when I've even reworn Focus Dailies for a second day after soaking them in solution, though I wouldn't recommend that.

Yes, I agree with you, Rosetyler. Thanks for your post, and thanks to the others who have contributed to this thread. Would anyone else care to comment?

I have taken out my focus dailies and put them in a case with solution after wearing them for a few hours so I could take a nap. I put them right back in my eyes and they were fine. I have also taken them out to rinse them because I had something in my eye and then I put them back in. I think they are fine with a quick rinse or even soaking for a few hours - they felt just as comfortable for the rest of the day when I put them back in after!

So what's worse, having your contacts in your eyes for too long or having them out of your eyes for too long? |
