I read where certain contact lenses like Ciba Vision Focus Monthly Visitint may make their wearer more prone to infections because it reduces the air flow to the cornea.
My understanding is that infections, by definition, are the body's reaction the the presence of germs. How can a lack of oxygen be related to the presence of germs in the eye? You don't just get an infection out of nowhere. That's like the old myth that just being cold will cause you to come down with one. |
