Thread: Focus Night and Day Component

Default Focus Night and Day Component

I looked up Focus Night & Day contacts and found that they are 24% water. The rest is a material that's either called Lotrafilcon or Iotrafilcon. I can't tell if the first letter is a capital "I" or a lower case "L." I tried a Google search, but I found both spellings. Can anyone help me with my polymer spelling?

Anyone? Anyone? How do you spell Lotrafilcon/Iotrafilcon?

I've always seen it spelled with an "L."

Thank you, D. Anyone else want to tell us how to spell Lotrafilcon/Iotrafilcon?

I tried doing a search for "Iotrafilcon" and got a message on Google that said "Showing results for Lotrafilcon. Search instead for Iotrafilcon." I then got "about 4,240 results." Even one in Cyrillic. My guess is the word is correctly spelled with an "L" but commonly misspelled with an "I."

Remember "Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade?"

"'Jehovah' is spelled with an i."

I hope you won't suffer such a dire fate of you spell it wrong.

Yeah, right? He fell right through the floor!

Too bad the Internet doesn't have any pictures of that scene. That would have made this post complete.

Yeah I was hoping to see a picture of Indy dangling precariously, but no go. We'll have to complete this post some other way. I think this will do for now:

Look at that picture above. See how the outline around the brick with the "J" on it is blurred?

I'm just trying to pander to the fans.
