Default Headaches and Blurred Vision From Frequency 55 Toric

What would cause headaches and blurred vision in one eye while wearing Frequency 55 Toric? Sounds scary. It didn't happen to me. I read about it.

Cool Blurred vision and head aches

I would say you may have dirt or something in the eye or your eyes are too dry and need re- wetting.

I'm glad you responded, I2I, but if someone's eye was hurting because they got dirt or something in their eye, do you think they'd be asking people on line what the problem was or writing about it?

Okay, that's one reply. Anyone else?

How would they know they had dirt in their eye? I think they would ask for a quick answer to their problem until they see a doctor if they didn't know why their eye was hurting. Sounds logical to me.

I'm saying, if someone just "had dirt in their eye" wouldn't they just blink a few times and be done with it? That doesn't sound like the kind of thing someone would ask about.

It's like when I'd tell my mother "My wrist hurts and I don't know why."
"Did you hit it on something?"
"Oh yeah! It must have been when I punched the refrigerator! Now I know why my wrist hurts! Thanks Mom!"

You might be on to something with that dry eye thing, though. Would that cause pain in only one eye?

sometimes just blinking will not get rid of dirt in your eye when you have contact lenses on. from my experience with the short time i have worn contact lenses- whether its dirt in my eye or dryness- i use re-wetting drops to alleviate the itchiness from dirt or dryness. could be one eye or two- either dirt or dryness. best thing is to ask your eye doctor for whatever ails you.

Okay, but would that explain the headache, too? I can see why dirt or dust in the eye might be responsible for blurred vision, but the original question also mentiond headaches.

Of course the best course of action would be to see a doctor, but in the thing I read, it didn't say anything about seeing a doctor. I'm wondering if there are people on this site who have had this happen to them and can share their experience.

I'm also asking on behalf of others who may be experiencing the same thing. Hopefully they can receive comfort from some of the answers found here.

If I don't hear from you I2I, Happy Thanksgiving.

I hope that people who come to Lens 101 only read about the headaches and blurred vision too, without experiencing them.
