I'm with Columbia. Wow. You can keep them in from 5 am to 11 pm and not have to take them out and put eye drops in or anything, huh?

I actually stopped using frequency 55 and now use grey colored contacts. But either way i would have to have a little bottle of rewetting drops.

What kind of color contacts do you wear now? I'll bet Lens 101 has a section for it. Do you still wear them for 18 hours a day?

Here's the section in Lens 101 for Freshlook Colorblends Toric. You can probably find some answers there, and probably give some answers as well.

Such an interesting thread here everybody. Thank you for your time and research.

Remember kids: don't wear your contact lenses longer than your eye doctor tells you to. It's not safe.

I'm glad you can feel comfortable in Frequency 55 Toric contact lenses after such a long day. Do you get to sleep in on the weekends and wear your contacts for a shorter day?

I'm glad you can feel comfortable wearing your contacts after a long day like that. Does your eye doctor know about your marathon contact lens wearing habits? Is he or she cool with that?

As a matter of fact my doctor does not know. Do you think that is too long?

You had me a bit confused there, I2I. This section is about Frequency 55 Toric contact lenses, but you say you stopped wearing those and you now wear Freshlook Color Blends. Okay, I think I'm up to speed now.

Here's what Lens.com says: "FreshLook color contact lenses are designed for daily wear with nightly removal and proper cleaning and storage for up to two weeks before disposal."

Contact lenses such as these are suppose to be worn about 12 hours. There's some leeway in this because everyone's eyes are different. It sounds like you're tolerating that 18 hour schedule pretty well, but I'm not a doctor, and even if I was, I can't examine your eyes over the Internet, so I would definitely recommend talking to your doctor about wearing your Frequency 55 Toric contacts for 18 hours at a time. Sounds like you need more sleep!

Please do that and let me know what he or she says. I'm sure your experience can help lots of people here at Lens 101. Thanks in advance.

yes you are right. i will check with my doctor. but in regards to my sleep- i do have to wake up early and i do sleep late. 5am till i guess 11pm. and yes i do follow the cleaning procedures. now wearing the frequency 55 torics - they have a website that tells you the amount of time you are able to wear them (a schedule chart). but again always ask your doctor if you are able to wear them for long periods as indicated.

Wait, how long do you sleep? From 5 am until 11 pm is like . . . 18 hours of sleep.

Or is that how long you wear your contacts?

I think I got you now. 5 am until 11 pm is when you're awake and wearing your Frequency 55 Torics.

It's funny how you start to write something, and it totally changes as you're typing.

So that means you sleep from 11 pm to 5 am. Six hours. Is that enough? Maybe you should get to bed a little earlier.

Sure, I can talk. Those are pretty much the hours I keep.

No that's how much time i sleep with my contacts on. Just kidding! LOL! Yes i meant i keep my contacts on for around 18 hours. Of course that is not everyday but it is common for me to wear them that long. I get most of my sleep on the weekends. I do catch up!

Maybe that was supposed to be 5 am to 11 am. That's a more reasonable 6 hours.

So bedtime is 11 pm and then you get up at 5 am. Right? You take out your contacts a few hours before you go to bed, which gives you about . . . 15 hours of contact lens wear on a typical day?

Great. You know sometimes people have problems with their eyes and don't even know it until they go to their eye doctor for an exam. It just shows how important regular exams are. You can have the peace of mind that your eyes are healthy.

You are sure right about that. There are many hidden dangers to the eye, if not checked, could cause you to lose your vision.

Then you have those people that say "My eyes don't hurt. Why should I get an examination?"

Please get your eyes checked every year. There may be some problems that you don't know about that still can be fixed.
