This sounds more like an issue of eye sensitivity than of a problem with the lenses. Have you talked to your eye doctor about this? Maybe artificial tears would help temporarily.

Cool feeling the edge

sometimes when i feel the edges i tend to think they are on backwards and so i take them out and invert it and that seems to solve the problem.[

That was my main problem with them and I know I had them in right. It was terrible it would make them sting cause I would feel the edges the edges would feel like razor blades on your eyes sometimes.

One time they were so bad that I just ripped the out on the floor at work and couldn't see for the rest of my shift but I felt like it was worth it.

Something else i would do is rub the lenses with the cleaning solution and rinse them off prior to inserting them. another tip that helped me was avoid drying your hands after washing when handling the contact lenses. The lint off the towel can sometimes remain on your hands and fingers although not visible. and that can make it feel like something is in your eye.

That sounds like some pretty good advice, I2I. Thanks to the others also, Rusty and Cobanerd, for their information, too.

I do have edge awareness and was told that it was normal. I've got one toric and one non-toric. I have absolutely no awareness of the non-toric, even after 14 hours. I'm always aware of the toric lens. It doesn't hurt, it's just there. I feel it more when I squint or when my eyes get dry. It's seems to be diminishing over time, though. I've been wearing them about one month. It isn't a problem for me. I'm in Proclears.

For those in the audience who don't wear contacts, can you explain what it's like to feel something touching your eye, but it's not painful?

How do they feel now? On May 29 you said you've been wearing them for a month. What's it like now that it's October?
