I have had the most success using the following method:-
1) make sure that the "T" is precisely in the middle of the bottom portion of the lens 2) put the lens on your index finder. 3) open your eyes wide by - using the middle finger of the same hand that has the lens to pull down your lower lid and using any finger on the opposite hand to pull up your upper lid 4) look to the corner of your eye 5) insert your contact in the middle of your eye - not where your iris is now but where it would be if you were looking straight (i usually hear a very slight "plop" if the contact fits correctly) 6) once the contact is inserted correctly, still holding your eye open, move your eye back to center. 7) It should be in correctly now. If your vision is slightly fuzzy. SOFTLY rub your closed eyelid. Hope this helps. |

(I love Columbo).
It doesn't matter too much when you take your finger off. At first I used to maintain slight contact while moving to the center in case the lens was not secure, but now that I have been doing it for a while, I let my finger go once the lens is in the corner. |

BTW, I read recently that Peter Falk still has his Columbo trench coat. "You can still wear it if you don't make any sudden moves," he said. ![]() |
