Default Sterling Grey Contacts on Brown Eyes

Hi All,

I've been on here off and on for a while now. Finally! I decided to bite the bullet and opted to try some monthly Freshlook colour contacts in Sterling Grey (pictures below) and Colourblends in Green (those pictures aren't posted on the site yet).

So, today I went to my optometrist and received a quick training session on how to put contacts in and how to remove them. The pictures below are of me wearing the Sterling Grey for an hour or so. Just in case you're wondering why my eyes looks so glossy/watery, I'm still trying to get used to the feel of them. So far they seem nice, looks-wise the Sterling Grey look great, I mean, up close you can tell they're contacts, but from a distance they look pretty natural.

My only real complaint about them is that they seem to move around a bit. I've never worn contacts before so I'm not sure if that is normal or not. I find that the pupil holes aren't too bad in size, however, I do see a bit hazy bluish/grey colour (maybe that's because it's my first day wearing them, not sure), other than that I do like them.

I've also included a picture of the natural colour of my eyes.

Please comment and let me know what you think.
Ciao.

They're a nice color, sure, but why are you wearing glasses and contact lenses at the same time?

Yeah, the contacts look much better without the glasses. Besides, if you can wear contact lenses, why bother with glasses?

Might I add that your natural brown eyes are nice to look at as well.

I don't see a picture of someone wearing glasses.

I just read on another thread that FL ColorBlends are being discontinued, is this true?

Also, if these are the GREY color, then what does the blue look like, or is this computer not showing the true colors?

Nice!! I'm sure they look awesome from far(color contacts are best without up-close views lol).
However, I feel your natural eye color is AWESOME and it is actually better than this color contacts.

Another suggestion - why don't you try gray? Not sterling gray?

Whoa, I just went to Lens.com and looked at how to order thsee, and looks like they do not come in bifocal or Multi-focals :-(

I'm disappointed.

But I can do monovision.. Still I would like to know if anyone else is seeing the contacts on this person's eyes as being more aqua or blue, instead of GREY?

thanks to anyone who will LMK on this

Yep! I do think it looks more 'blue' than gray. This is the Sterling gray from colorblends. The gray does not look like this , and that's why I told the OP to try on plain gray.

Those contact lenses are a nice color on you. To me they look blue and grey. Up close in those pictures your brown eyes are visible though the pupil hole, but it's probably less noticeable from a distance.
As for the moving around, they should move a little when you blink, but if the colored part actually blocks your vision, you probably should have the fit checked.

Did you buy these lenses or was this a trial for you?

Did you try any others?

Post back when you get a chance, Desicutie.

Desicutie, Did you change pictures and make LeeRoberts here look dumb? I hope he or she wasn't hallucinating when they wrote about you wearing glasses. There's nothing in your post to suggest that either. Weird.

Well you can see the post was edited.

Probably Desicutie went back and removed the photo originally posted when wearing glasses.

You're right. At the bottom of the post it says "Last edited by Desicutie; 09-10-2011 at 04:18 AM."

Either the time zones are different or someone got up very early to post here.

I also have the sterling grey, and they are more pale blue, and also slip around on my eye, and fog up. I am not crazy about them. I ordered the platinum BL and am hoping they are more grey than blue
