Default Amethyst Contacts in Brown Eyes

I saw a picture of the Amethyst FreshLook ColorBlends and I love the color. The thing is that I've got brown eyes and I'm not sure that purple looks good with brown. I don't really know how well your natural eye color will show through these contacts. Is there anyone out there in cyberspace who can post some pictures of these Amethyst contacts on your brown eyes? That would be so great. Thanks!

Cool dark brown eyes and color

yes they (amethyst) do look nice on you. but i bet they look even more nice in person. i wear gray and i have had one positive comment and one semi negative comment. I also have dark brown eyes that look black when at a distance. So i personally think gray look great on my dark brown eyes. i have semi light skin so maybe that helps although i have heard that dark skinned people look good in them as well.

You have an interesting look, xkrystal3x. It looks to me like you have brown eyes with a purple ring around them. It doesn't look terribly natural, but it does look good. Thanks for sharing your pictures. Slowly but surely this is becoming an illustrated forum.

I have to agree with Frodo on this one. You look like someone with brown eyes that have purple edges. What kind of comments do you get on your eyes? Do you get mixed reviews like I2I when he/she said "I have had one positive comment and one semi negative comment"?

Okay, since I can't seem to get loveme to post a picture, maybe you will. Are you new here sheROCKS? How do you like our little Internet forum home, here?

One more question. If you didn't order any FreshLooks ColorBlends in amethyst, how do you know you love them?

That's kind of ironic from someone who mentions the same place to buy contacts in every single post isn't it?

Still I'm glad you like it here anyway.

Poor Eddie. He looks awful. To think he looked like this twenty years ago.

Is that James Hetfield dude from Metallica?

We're getting off track, though. Do you suppose either of these guys wear FreshLook ColorBlends contact lenses?

I think Eddie Van Halen does look like the Crazy Cat Lady from The Simpsons. I think the Cat Lady has a nicer tooth, though. Eddie's got the advantage in the hair department. He plays better guitar, too.

We know what the "catt lady" thinks.

Crazy? Read her posts, and then decide.

Just so you know, Eddie Van Halen was born in the Netherlands on January 26, 1955, which means as I post this he's not quite 55 years old.

See what the rock & roll lifestyle--together with prolonged exposure to David Lee Roth--can do to a person?

How do you think xkrystal3x looks in her pictures at the top of this thread? To me it looks like she has brown eyes with a purple outline.

"Loveme" shops on Amazon, which I think might be good if you're shopping for a sweater or a book, but contact lenses are another story.

I did a search on Amazon, but when I put in "FreshLook ColorBlends," I found hair coloring. Adding "contact lenses" to my search terms gave me a bunch of novelty lenses. I think those $17 contact lenses were either a myth, or a limited time offer.

Yes, they do, but the ColorBlends are more expensive than the ones you can get at Lens.com. For the price of one pair of ColorBlends from coloredcontacts, you can get a whole box at Lens.com. Like banner up there says: "Why pay more for contact lenses?"

So is there anything more that you want to say about amethyst contact lenses? Can you still buy Amethyst FreshLook ColorBlends? I hard that they don't sell the ColorBlends any more.

Welcome to Lens 101 ThatOneGirl.

If you're looking for contact lenses that are smaller than 14.5, then you'll probably have to rely on gas permeable lenses. The good news is that they last a long time and come in colors like Amethyst. The bad news is that they can be rather expensive. Durasoft 3 ColorBlends come in your size and color, but a vial containing one lens will cost you $78.99 at Lens.com and you won't find them much lower than that.
