Default New Colors! Sterling Grey, Gemstone Green, and Brilliant Blue

As of 4/1/09 there are new colours! Has anyone tried any of these yet? I am going to buy Brilliant Blue and give them a go. I will post a pic when I receive them. It makes me wonder how much brighter they will be than True Sapphire. I have bought many different contact lenses over the years, but have always had the problem of the brightness in colour. All the ones I purchased are very lightly pigmented. But I hear good things about Freshlook Colorblends, so thought Id try them.

Default natural lighting?

I love them on you! they look great! But question, how are they in natural light they seem pretty bright blue with a camera flash. But I just recently bought some korean contacts that I thought looked kool, but unfortunately was disappointed because while they looked great with the flash of a camera, they were lightly pigmented and in normal lighting looked very dark on my eyes, like you almost couldnt tell that I was wearing contacts. The whole point is to change the colour of your eye and have it look good in natural lighting. So my question is really: do they still appear to be bright blue in natural lighting? or do your eyes still look very dark?

I really like them they look really good on you and really natural. But I have to say the brilliant blues are my favorite. They look a lot brighter but still look very natural. Thanx for posting! Although I wish you would have told me before you ordered natural touch. I ordered them and was horribly disappointed. They did NOT look natural at all. The baby blue is what I got. They are too bright first of all and the pattern on them make them look fake. I wear them when I go out to a goth club, but thats about it. They look pretty freaky. Also I read that they changed them a few years ago. Ive seen pictures and before they looked beautiful and hand painted, but now they look so different. From afar they look ok but upclose fake. I dont like them but heres a picture Ill let you be the judge.

Hi I ordered the Brilliant Blue today and I have Dark Green eyes. ( well my eye colors change ) I had tried on the true sapphire at the eye Dr's but it did not cover all my green( around the black part of the eye) She did not have a Brilliant Blue for me to try. Do you think or know if the Brilliant Blue covers more ?

Default Trina Green Eyes

When I saw these pictures I though that those were colored contact lenses. It wasn't until I read your post that I realized that is your natural eye color. You have pretty eyes, Trina. I hope that when you get your colored contacts they'll look at least as good.

I'm not sure if you can get a different pupil size for your contacts, but it's very common for a little bit of your natural eye color to show through the pupil opening of colored contacts. It's not as noticeable with green eyes, though.

I hope you find something you like, and I hope you continue to post pictures.

Default Be Careful

i recently wore my contacts a lil too much everyday and i now have cronic dry eye. These freshlook lenses are 55% water so they absorb the water from your eyes and make them very dry. But i do love the way they make my eyes change dramatically and they are really comfy well just to let you know Aloha Elton L.

This site is full of surprises. Go to the top left corner of this page and you will see a bright red rectangle that says "lens.com" on it. Click on that and you can order your FreshLook ColorBlends contacts on that page.

If you think a forum about contact lenses is shocking, how would you react to a forum about sunglasses? Lens 101 has a section that's all about sunglasses, too. Check it out.

ok I am having trouble with my right eye when i put the contacts in. It is blurry. At first it stung really bad and it is almost like my vision is worse or at the very least the same as it was without contacts. Does it take time to get used to them? At first when I put it in it felt like something was cutting the top of my right eye . I took it out and washed it and put it back in and it stung badly. In one eye I am +75 and other +125 I know i have them in the right eyes just feels odd. Like when I look at the tiime on my Tv It is blurry now when before i could see it. I had to strain but I could see it. Not sure if I like the color yet.... Will post photos later. How exactly am I to tell if they are in backwards? I looked on line and I just cant tell when I look at the contacts.I can read things ok closeeeeee up but thats it. I can see pictures ECT fine but like the time no so much.

Default Sterling Grey

Anybody else on here ever try them? I saw the pics from the guy above and they look like a light blue - very natural. I think I might order them unless they will make my eyes look gray. I am aiming for a baby blue - light blue color.

I haven't really confirmed this, but I think this is probably the longest thread on Lens 101. Thanks mostly to eltonlani and Trina. Kudos to you both for the great pictures.

Default Loving the new Freshlooks Sterling Gray=Baby Blue

The new Freshlook Sterling Gray is actually not gray (well not on me!) but more of a natural looking light or baby blue! Can't beat the color, comfort, ease of putting them in and also the PRICE!! Freshlooks has really come out with good, in expensive contacts over the years!

Attached is a pic of me wearing them. I have naturally dark brown eyes. Let me know what you think!

Eltonlani and Trina, your contacts look stellar, and I mean every color!

Trina, your natural color is beautiful too! That's why those contacts are able to look so darn good on you!

Eltonlani, where on earth did you get your Sterling Greys? I love them!

Everyone, thanks for the pictures! Very informative!

Wow, those are some really great pictures, Peezdispenser. You've got some great poses there. I like the one where your hair is covering one eye, even though it hides one of your Colorblends!

I think you have a winner there in FreshLook ColorBlends. Those really look nice and natural on you. Thanks for posting the pictures. We love pictures here on Lens 101.

Smile Just ordered some Sterlying gray from lens.com.

Can't wait till they get here! If they look as good as they do on some of you guys, then hopfully they will look good on me! lol I'll post pictures after I get them. I really hope they are comfortable. The last box of colored contacts I got looked amazing, but I can't even wear them. Big waist of $60! They were Expressions Colors in Blue Topaz. I think it was because they only came in base curve 8.7 and i'm a 8.6 so they were to big. Anyway, thanks everyone who posted pictures of the sterlying gray, it really helped me decide what color to get!

Oh, and when I placed my order, it said the doctor has 8 hours to get back to them, and if they don't they ship the order anyway. So hopfully I gave them the right perscription! Because the Target Optical I use never answer's there phone! lol I couldn't even get through at all today, I called like ever hour! haha. And my doctor I see only works like 1 day a week at that location. I guess we will soon find out if they really verify with the doctor before they ship them.

Hey, this is the thread with all the pretty girls!

And Eltonloni.

Let me say along with Slitheen that these contact lenses look very natural on you, Peezdispenser. Do you have any other colors?

You have an interesting look there, reka. I'm looking forward to seeing how you look in those contacts.

You said you're getting them "tomorrow" (Which was the day before yesterday by now.) but then you said you're deciding between three colors. Did you order all three?

The reason why i was dissapointed was because they where a little uncomfortable for me and i guess its because its made of the 55% water my eyes get dry so quickly so i had to stop wearing them but they look awsome on the eye so very bright much better than the old freshlooks. But now i only use low water content colored lens like Natural Touch THANKS Elton.

Haha, no bow, sorry.
I went, and the opaques didnt show up on my eyes well. The old green was very dark, the brilliant blue wasn't quite brilliant, and the gray barely made a difference. So no opaques for me, sorry. The dr. told me that opaques show up in dark eyes, and since my eyes aren't dark or really light, colored contacts might not be for me.

I ordered the Freshlook enhancers in sea green, after bugging him for while to let me try it on. They made my eyes bright green with a blue hue. It's nice. They should come in the end of this week.

And thanks I got plenty of sleep!

My pic:
MakeUp2.jpg
I have light gray-green eyes, and want to change my eyes to a natural bright blue color. Brilliant Blue looks nice on dark eyes, but is it true that it won't work on light eyes like mine? I'm wearing Freshlook Dimensions (pacific blue) now,but it darkened my eye,and the colors mixed together in something like turquoise:
DSC00774.jpg
The color is pretty but not what I wanted...I hoped that Brilliant Blue will be the ones for me. They look so beautiful on photos here, just what I wanted

That's interesting, reka401. I always thought the opaque ones were the ones to change your eye color and the enhancers only intensify or "enhance" your natural color. Was I mistaken?

Default Picture of me wearing freshlook colorblends in sterling grey

My natural eye color is a very dark brown, so dark u can barely discern the pupil from the iris. & these lenses are MAGICAL. They make ur eyes a very blue color indoors in dark lighting & if ur outdoors or in bright lighting they're this GORGEOUS sparkly silvery light blue color tht many people want & they look so natural, even without wearing any eye makeup, they're YOUR eyes!

here's a picture of me wearing them at a Prom: *sorry for the large file size!

Nice to see you again, Arisu. Thanks for posting another picture.

You're right, that's not a bright blue, but it still looks nice. None of the FreshLook ColorBlends are really a bright blue, but those Brilliant Blue of yours, as well as the True Sapphire can almost be called "bright blue."

A new face on Lens 101. Thanks for joining us and posting those pictures. I think the gray lenses look really nice on you. Not many people think of gray when they think of eye colors, but maybe they should.
These look very natural in these pictures. No edges oc the contacts are visible, your eyes look clear and bright, and none of your natural color is peeking out of the pupil hole of the contacts. Looks like you got a perfect score.

Those are some great pictures of a pretty girl wearing beautiful contact lenses. Do you have any more pictures? I'm glad we got to see your whole face. Not many people look deeply into your eyes in a casual setting.

here's my contribution. they don't look natural per se, but they give a pretty cool/bold effect in pictures, if that's the look you're going for. these are the freshlook color contacts in "sterling gray". they give a very husky icy-gray look to the eyes versus the regular gray contacts from the freshlook colorblends line, but they also show up much brighter/vivid.

Those are beautiful contacts, christianadivine. They go well with your skin tone and hair color.

I love those contact lenses on you, Arisu. (That rhymes, I think, doesn't it?) I like the purple by your eyes, too.

What color are your eyes naturally, christianadivine? I can't really tell from these pictures.

Default ((Update)) <<<Gemstone Green Contacts>>>

Hi well, I originally posted some pics for my dark brown eyes(natural eye color) for the new freshlook colorblends, Sterling Gray. I liked those, but I didn't really feel that comfortable in them because even though they were beautiful I didn't really think they were, "believable." I recently got the Gemstone Green contacts, and I LOVE them. They are very beautiful and vibrant and I love how they seem to even give me a green outer ring as well. Here's some pics for you guys interested in getting these. I'll have a picture with fluorescent lighting and natural lighting.

It's probably because this thread features some of Lens 101's most beautiful lenses and . . . most beautiful members.

That includes you too, Eltonlani, ya big lug!

Wow, those contact lenses look beautiful on you karol.beck. They both are good colors, but I think if I had to pick one it would be the Gemstone Green. You look good with green eyes.

So which are your natural eyes? The sliver of brown visible by your pupil in that close up?
