Default Freshlook Colourblends/ Dimensions on Dark Brown - Black Eyes (PICS!!!)

Hello. I'm an Indian with dark brown eyes; recently I've found myself in search of the most natural & perfect color contact lense for dark eyes. I have also discovered on my search for the most natural & perfect color contacts is there is none. So, I've had to settle for something that comes close.
I also stay in South Africa & my options are very limited.
I've used Freshlook Colourblends (Green & Brown) in the past, the results were not exactly what I was looking for. I then resorted to using the Freshlook Dimensions. I understand that the Dimensions range was spefically designed to enhance light eyes but I thought that it would give me that subtle change I've been looking for & you know what it did... BUT the effect wasn't to my liking. Look at the pics below & you'll see what I mean.
Anyways, I've recently ordered a pair of Expressions Accents. I'll be sure to post some pics.
My fingers are crossed.

Those of you that have pics of any Bausch & Lomb Softlens, please post them. Thanks.

The pics are as follows:
- My natural eye colour
- Freshlook Colorblends - Brown
- Freshlook Colorblends - Green
- Freshlook Dimensions - Sea Green

Yesterday I picked up my Expressions Accents, I was so excited. So much so that I had to put them on in the store.
I know that Exp Accents are made esp for those people who want to enhance their light eyes but nonetheless I ordered them, I was willing to take a chance.
I knew, from reviews, that they was a very good chance they will not be noticable in my eye, esp in normal light.
As expected they didn't show much in normal light, esp indoors but outdoors they give my eyes a hint of green, more olive.
Anyways, i recommend these lenses over the FL Dimensions. You will see from the pics that the Exp Accents look more natural than the FL Dimensions (see baove pics), esp with the flash.
Let me know your thoughts...

Does anyone here use the Accent or Dimensions over their black eyes? Mine are really dark brown- almost black. Do you think it will show at all?

Good day Haifa-Fan.

No, neither of the contacts (Accents & Dimensions) will show. Reason being, these contacts were specifically designed for those people with light eyes. I also have dark eyes & believe me when I say they are not noticable at all. Even when I told people that I was wearing contacts, they still couldn't see it. The only time you will see the colour is when taking a pic with the flash on & at a close distance.
In fact my dark brown eyes look even darker with the Accents on. I really don't like the effect og the Dimensions (you can see what I mean from the pics above).
But I highly recommend the Accents for light eyes!

Agent, You have the most beautiful shape eyes.
I know you would have heard it many times before but I think you look best natural!
If you are set on contacts I would go for honey, hazel or light brown.

Thank you Hot Dog!!!

I actually do like my eyes but like alot of people I also get bored of them; hence the reason to why I am looking for a good pair of contact lenses.
I recently visited my optomertrist to try on the Pure Hazel but alas they did not have the try on lense. But, I shall try again.
I've also taken an interest in the Acuvue opaque lenses, the Chestnut Brown especially. I'm trying to find optomertrists that have try on lenses in this range.

If you have any pics, especially of Acuvue, please post them.

I agree, on Black or dark brown eyes Dimensions dont show. But on lighter brown eyes the Dimensions in Sea Green look very dark dark green. I have light brown eyes, my sis has med brown. e both went crazy and ordered bunch of Freshlooks (solotica and Expresion lenses will be nxt), Dimensions in Sea Green didnt change her eye color but made mine slightly army green...Freshlook blends though are a diff story

Hi Lovie, Solotica have some excellent colors.
I should be getting a shipment in my store at the end of Nov 09.

You have not looked hard enough.
I have just seen the most amazing pics of an Indian/Arab guy in another forum wearing Solotica naturals.
They were beyond perfect.
Sadly he would not allow anyone to copy his pics.
And the forum took two months to approve me as a member to have access to any posts.
But check youtube for many clips.

Two months just for permission to access the posts? That doesn't sound very member friendly. Who needs `em? You've got Lens 101!

I know what you mean, Hogwartz. This is kind of a creepy thread. Taken by themselves, these are great looking contact lenses, but when it's just a bunch of eyeballs, it's not as pleasant to look at. I'd rather see the whole face.

I just looked at a Waicon lens, it looks like its dot matrix. I asked the vendor on Amazon if Solotica is dot matrix and they said no! If it is I be very surprised since it dosnt look it when someone is wearing it.

They are both super fine dot matrix, cannot tell with naked eye.
only on magnification.
Both brands are wonderful however, Solotica have some better colors.

That pic 5, in sunlight, is there a contact lens in that eye? I think I can see the edge of it but I can't tell by looking at the iris. To look at that eyeball that close and in bright sun and not have an obvious contact lens in there would be impressive indeed.

I see what you mean, hogwartz. When I looked very closely at the picture (#5) I could see an area in the center that was very slightly darker than the rest, but if I wasn't searching for it, I wouldn't have see it.

Default The Thread That Looks Back at You

Woah. Go all the way up to the top of this page and look at the first three pictures posted there. As this page was loading a few seconds ago I saw that third picture where the eye is looking off to the side, and then the next picture appeared in its place that's the same except the eye is looking straight into the camera. When it happened like that it gave the illusion that the eye looked at me. Kinda creepy.

I think there are some contact lenses out there that look very natural. Take a look around this site and I think you will find a lot of contact lenses that look natural under normal conditions. Of course it won't look natural being illuminated from a camera flash two inches away. From arm's length and under natural lighting conditions, I think most colored contacts look pretty natural.

In fact, in several years taking public transportation, I've never looked at some one and said to myself "She's wearing colored contacts." The only time I was not fooled was by a girl I knew whose eyes were impossibly blue.
