Default Opinion on color and qestion about trial.New user,1 week total.

I was wondering if anyone had any experience with sterling gray FL:Colorblends with dark brown eyes and fair skin. Basically im half mexican and you can tell i have some mexican in me. Black hair,Black eye brows and I would say medium brown eyesm i would say oak colored. I have lightly tanned skin like a mexican would.

I was wondering if you think it will be very noticible or only slightly? I tried the regular gray at eye doctors and they appeared almost Blue. Are the Sterling gray kind any different and if so how?

MY QUESTIONS:

1.My trial pair were very cloudy,is that normal and will that heppen with my perscriptions? i no they arnt corrective but they appeared as if i was looking through a bathroom window after a hot shower and my vision wasnt like that to begin with?

2.since there perscription will they be more customized to my eye? like smaller because they seemed to overlap my eye alot. The place where my pupil is seem to be nbig also and let alot of the brown to bleed through. Im an opioid user which makes my eye the size of a pin point also,so do u think when im not on my medication will it look closer to what its intended to look like? i guess you can say that?

3.Does it get real cloudy when your pupils dilate(get big)? if so i hope its not as bad as the trial pair.

4. How long are these supposed to be worn? bi-weekly?

5. Are these pretty comfortable lenses? i use sofmed 55 currently which is the store brand for americas best(the eye doctor place i go to)

6. not related question but which is your favorte solution and why? Whats the difference between no rub and the kind your rub? which do u prefer? i rub mine anyways is that a problem?

Hello daddyfatsax

Welcome to Lens 101

I am not a user of coloured lenses but will try and answer some of your questions. Others on the forum will be better able to answer your other questions and add to my comments below.

Re your wearing time for these lenses, your eye doctor should have given you all this info and how to look after them, etc.

The site sponsor here is Lens.com and they sell these lenses:

http://www.lens.com/contact-lenses/lens369.asp

They are weekly disposable lenses. Your eye doctor/eye care professional will advise you how many hours/day would be OK for you to wear your lenses. They are a regular hydrogel lens with an oxygen permeability value of Dk 27 so not normally considered an extended wear lens, i.e. you should not sleep with them in.

Since you are on opiates and your pupils are pin point, there should be no problem with you looking through the coloured part of your contact lens. I don't see why the lenses should appear to cloudy in your case.

When you are not on opiates and if your eyes are normal diameter, the lenses should look more natural. Vision should not appear cloudy, unless your are in extreme low light and your pupils are dilated more than the diameter of your coloured contact lenses clear centre. i.e. in low light, you may be trying to look through the coloured part of the coloured contact lens and this naturally will not be sharp.

Your vision will not be sharp when you have no prescription on the coloured lenses. But when you take the lenses out, then the 'cloudiness' should be similar. Otherwise there may be a problem with the contact lenses.

I would have thought normal coloured lenses will have too big a pupil diameter for you and the lenses will look very unnatural. You may need custom lenses.

Re contact lens solutions, I always use 2 step hydrogen peroxide as this is a more thorough disinfection solution. I don't have any experience with Multi Purpose Disinfection solutions.
