I just read something that kind of surprised me.
I've known for a long time that when your eye doctor tells you that FreshLook Handling Tint contacts are intended to be worn no more than two weeks, that means that FreshLook Handling Tint contacts are intended to be worn no more than two weeks. Not two weeks and one day, not five or six weeks. Two. Many of you are probably thinking "I always wear my FreshLook Handling Tints for at least a month and my eyes are fine." Guess what? When you wear contacts that long, they deaden the nerves in your cornea and you don't feel pain like you should. It's a little like alcohol. The very first thing that gets affected by alcohol is the part of your brain that says "Maybe I've had enough." One of the first things affected by wearing contact lenses are the nerves that say "Ouch! Take this thing out! It's been here too long." Something to think about . . . |
