My African American girlfriend looks stunning in it wearing the gray variation. I think I 'll go and get myself one. Hey! Wait a minute. I saw somewhere that I can get a free pair.

3-in-1 Technology refers to FreshLook One-Day using a blend of three colors to look more natural. Some other color contacts only use one color, which makes them look flat and fake.

I have seen a few pics of ppl in grey lenses that to me look almost a very pale blue in their eyes

however this is ppl with brown eyes, which are dark naturally so i am notr sure how grey would look in my hazel green eyes

does anyone have some pictures of the freeshlook 1 day, or able to say how the color compares to colors or colorblends?

thanks

A blend of three colors to make one one new color. That makes sense. Thanks for the posting naturallygood.

A free pair? The only place I've heard you can get a free pair is a trial pair from your eye doctor's office. Some websites will send you a voucher that you give to your eye doctor so you can get a free trial pair of contacts.

I have a question guys. I'm just a little confused on how this one-day lens works. Here's why...

A friend of mine told me that she just bought this lenses specifically Freshlook Colorblends. She told me that it'll last up to 8-12 months from first use. When I checked the actual lenses it says on the package "Freshlook One-day contact lenses". And I was like, how come you can use it for almost a year when it says ONE-DAY?! And she said as long as you take good care of your lenses, clean and make sure it is always soaked in the solution makes the lenses last up to a year. And it is much cheaper than the lenses I saw on the mall that lasts up to 3 months, as what the doctor told me.

So my question is. How long can I use the Freshlook One-Day? And is it true that soaking it in the solution always and cleaning as often can make it last?

I haven't tried on any contact lenses yet so i'm still new to this. Thanks!

Okay, it sounds like you're talking about two different lenses. You've got your FreshLook 1-Day contacts and your FreshLook ColorBlends. The FreshLook 1-Day contacts are intended to be used--as the name implies--for one day. FreshLook ColorBlends are monthly disposables. Either way, your friend is wrong and she is endangering her eyesight by wearing her contacts for WAY too long.

These lenses have a limited life span, not because they get dirty, but because they begin to fall apart, they allow less and less oxygen to reach the corneas, and become harder to clean effectively. It doesn't matter how well you clean them, they still need to be replaced on schedule. You're smart for checking with Lens 101 before joining your friend in this dangerous practice. Perhaps your friend should just wear glasses if she won't care for her contacts properly.

She got me fooled there. I was so close to buying one. Because it's so much cheaper. So that's how it works. I don't know that it falls apart. Thank you so much for the helpful info Building63. I guess I should buy the pricey ones but it is more safe. I just wanted to try on contacts for a different look. And the sample photos in this site are so nice. Now I know what will look good on me. Haha

Hi Meemzy.

There's nothing wrong with wearing FreshLook One Day contact lenses. They won't fall apart unless you try to wear them too long. Lots of people wear them, but you have to remember to change them every day. If you think you can handle that, go for it, otherwise, FreshLook ColorBlends are also a good choice.

Hi Tiger! Well yeah. But the thing is, she told me that I can use it for 8-12 months! So I was amazed but having doubts about it since I saw the package where it says "One-day contact lenses" so I decided to ask you guys here. Coz I can't imagine wearing lenses that cheap for about a year. Were the other lenses on the market specifically colorblends that is a bit pricey and can only be used up to 3 months. Good thing I listened to my doubts before I bought one of those one-day lenses. My first time could have gone BAD.... haha and now i'm planning to buy FreshLook ColorBlends. And i'm torn between Gray, Green and pure hazel. LOL

Maybe it's none of my business, but what made your friend think that something called "FreshLook One Day" could last for 8-12 months? She's changing them every day now, right?

You might have to explain to her how "disposable" diapers and "one day sales" work.

I'm sorry, was that mean? I kid `cause I love, you know?

Her other friend was using it also. And she's the one who told my friend that false info. She's told her that she's been using it for a long time. I don't know what's gotten into her to tell false info to other people. And so my friend believed her and she bought one.

Yeah, that's why I got shocked when I saw the package. I was like confirming it at first when we're talking on the phone that it was colorblends. She says yes. But when got into her place that "ONE-DAY" packaging got into my face!

Yeah. It's just crazy. Trying to use it again when it says ONE-DAY. Can't she read?! Or even understand what it means?! She even told my friend yesterday that nothings wrong with her eye because at first she's hesitant but she's ok with it and she's using the ONE-DAY lenses for 6 months now. I told my friend that for now she will not see the effects. She better stop using it or she'll regret it.

Somewhere on this website, someone made a clever analogy. They compared daily disposable contact lenses to paper plates. They're inexpensive be cause they're not made to be durable. You use a paper plate once, and it's dirty. You can't wash it because it's too flimsy and besides, they're like a penny each. Why go through the work of cleaning a paper plate when it only cost you a penny and you still have 99 left in the package?

Daily disposable contact lenses are inexpensive and can't really be cleaned. So if you try to clean a daily disposable contact lens, you are actually breaking it down, not making it last longer.

Why don't people just wear contact lenses like they're supposed to?

I wonder if I can hire a skywriter . . . ?

It think this person who abuses FreshLook One Day disposable contact lenses should just stick to glasses.

Here's that thread: http://www.lens101.com/daily-disposable-contact-lenses/10503-daily-disposable-contact-lenses-like-paper-plates.html

I've seen that thread around, too, and I think it's a good analogy. I think it helps people to understand why daily contact lenses are so called.

I wonder if anyone can explain why people use something that's clearly called "One-Day" on the box for weeks or even months?

Well, I hope your friend starts wearing her contact lenses properly. Maybe she should get some lenses that last a month so she can safely leave them in longer. Vial contact lenses can last a year, but they're pretty expensive.

Maybe it was a little bit mean, but this is a serious situation. When someone is abusing contact lenses that badly, maybe they need to be shaken up a bit, like yelling at someone to get out of the way of a speeding car. It might seem mean, but it may save her life.

Hi flowerhorn,

Are you willing to post a picture of yourself with your "stunning" girlfriend? I think it would be a good addition to this site if she looks that good. It might inspire others to pick up a pair for themselves.
