Default /Why did you decide to get gas permeable contacts?

I had a friend who wore them before soft toric lens came on the market.
I am thinking soft contacts would always feel better in your eye.
Am I wrong?

I don't wear gas perms, but after reading Lens 101 and some other sites like it, it seems that gas permeable contact lenses give you crisper vision, and they last longer than disposable contacts. They are uncomfortable at first, but it doesn't take long to get used to them.

Rigid gas permeables have many advantages over soft contacts, except for how they feel when you first put them in.

My opthamologist actually conbvinced my parents that to stop my cornes and vision from decining so fast, I f i went in to contacts it would stop or at least slow it.
I was glad muy parents went for it. I would like that ability to slow it again., but i get so sleepy..

I just read that gas perms are easier and cheaper to maintain that soft contacts.

Are gas perms as hard as hard contacts?
I never want to put something like those hard contacts in my eyes ever again.

I'm thinking I may end up having to do some research and try these kind of contacts.
As much as I want soft contacts, because I need toric and progressive lens and I know I won't be satisfied without crisp and clear vision, I will probably end up with these.
