No, Acuvue Advance for Astigmatism is not available as a color contact lens as far as I know. They are made by Johnson & Johnson, and the only Color Contact Lenses they make are Acuvue 2 Colours - Enhancers and Acuvue 2 Colours - Opaques.

Yes, there are, just not Acuvue Advance for Astigmatism. Go to this page here http://www.lens.com/contact-lenses/department100.asp and you will see the toric lenses offered by Lens.com. Check the list for names with the word "Colors" in them like "Durasoft 2 Optifit Toric - Colors."
To double-check, click on the name of the lens, then check that page to see if it has a drop-down menu of available colors.

Just wondering...what's so difficult that color contacts are not as simply made for those with astigmatism? Is there a separate process or chemical needed for this?

I'm not sure what your question is, Immortal25. If you look at the post right above yours you will find a URL listing several colored toric lenses. They don't seem very difficult to get a hold of.

I know friend; just ranting because I've been to local shops and the response I usually get is colored contacts are not for those with high astig and not all brands make colored for those with astig. And colored are not available in daily lenses (that true?). So I was just ranting about why is it that difficult to implement colour into the lenses.

Hi Immortal25. Nice to have you on board.

I looked around Lens.com and the only colored Daily Disposable Contact Lenses I found were FreshLook One-Day, also known as Focus Dailies SoftColors. You can find more information about them right here: http://www.lens.com/contact-lenses/lens423.asp

I think your question has been misunderstood, and you've been very patient. It sounds to me like you're asking why you can't go to Lens.com and look up, say, FreshLook ColorBlends and find drop-down menus for choosing the axis and cylinder like on all good toric lenses, right?

As a partial answer to your question, toric contact lenses (Lenses specially designed for people with astigmatism.) have a thickened section that keeps them sitting on your cornea a certain way without rotating out of focus. That's what makes them so special.

That's a good illustration, Tiger. Thanks for putting it up here.

I like that picture of a toric lens. It's very simple to understand.

Sorry username. As far as I know, Acuvue Advance for Astigmatism is not available in colors. I checked Lens.com and the Acuvue website, but so no evidence of colored contacts. Sorry. I'm not sure you would appreciate that information.
