Default Monovision contacts will i every get use to them?

I have had them a little over one week. Still see fuzzy in the left.( that is the one that i use for close up) Feels like a piece of lint is over the eye. If i close the right i see fine. If look at the computer screen it is fuzzy. Also i look up to look away i see the lint on the eye. The right eye is blurry if i look away. Also that right eye waters alot.

When i look straight ahead it feels like i am looking 3D or cross eyed.

I have read it can take weeks and weeks to get use to them.

Any tips ?????

So you're new to monovision lenses are you? They will take a while to get used to them. The whole idea of using one eye to read and the other one to see in the distance is very different from what you've been doing your whole life. You may need to have some more adjustment to your prescription, or maybe your eyes are just dry. Have you tried eye drops?

Let's assume that the lenses are fitting well and are achieving the desired correction. Realistically, it can take a minimum of eight weeks of wear to adjust. It is possible that you will never come to accept mono-vision correction, but to find out for sure you will have to give it at least a couple of months. The same thing goes for multi-focal lenses.

Let me agree with what the others have said in that monovision lenses are kind of hard to work with, but if you stick with it you will be fine.

Hi, I am also new to contact lenses and monovision. I have been wearing them for a week. It is blurry when reading/computer etc.. I can still drive, but I wish my eyes could focus to a clearer image . I am trying Biofinity toric lenses. I know I have to be patient.
I go back to eye doc in 11 days. It is nice to hear other peoples experiences .
I am determined to push thru the adjustment period.

Hang in there, M3GRL. I hope you found the suggestions here useful.

You said that you have problems reading and using the computer, but you can drive. So do I take that to mean that you can see in the distance okay, but close-up is fuzzy?

Hi Shade Maiden,
I can read ,use the computer and drive, but
it is like a slight blurry annoyance. It seems like if you blink it will clear up . No chance of that. Watching T.V on a big 60 inch H.D looks blurry.
I have presbyopia and astigmatism. I think my distance is 20/40 ? not sure.

Let us know what your doctor says when you see him or her. I hope you can get that blur sorted out. Monovision can be hard to get used to sometimes. Don't give up yet.
