Here's a picture I found that I hope will clear up this question. When your contact lens is the right way, it's a smooth bowl shape. When it's inside out, the rim flares out and forms a sharp-edged "lip" on the bowl shape. Take a look:

Yeah it's really unpleasant when that happens and you get your contacts mixed up inside out, doesn't really happen anymore but it did a lot when I first started using contact lenses, it's still best to double check because if it goes inside out it's real uncomfortable.

one good thing about gas perms only one way of putting them in,,they won't go inside out lol and i was the same way when i first started wearing soft lenses i would get them inside out once in awhile ,,i think everyone goes thru that

well yeah at the end of the day when i am satisfied and all my doubts are clear then for sure i will do that..

well maybe i can start by telling my fears about it..you're a user right? i have this fear or notion .,, that if i ever put the lens on it will in some way hurts..or im a bit clumsy so anything can happen..a scratch maybe or whatever ..
