Default Clear Care and Silicone Contacts

I've heard that the Clear Care system should not be used with the new contacts that are made with silicon. That can't be right, can it? Clear Care is very popular and I can't believe that it can't be used by most of the people who wear contact lenses these days.

You're right. Silicone contacts are very popular and the Clear Care System works very well. There's no reason why you can't use them together, as long as you keep in mind that contacts need to be in the clear car solution for at least six hours, just like any other contact lens.

Manufacturers test their lenses with various solutions to see if they are compatible or not, dispensers offices often have what's called a Tylers Quarterly that keeps us updated to the lens parameters and compatible solutions. I would check with the prescriber for more info on what's recommended, also if you are wearign one of the more common lenses you could check out www.staingrid.com to see what will work and what won't.
