A friend of mine wanted to resume wearing extended wear lenses after a hiatus of several years, so she had an exam and got the lenses. She started wearing them all the time, right away.
Don't the eyes have to adjust to the lenses again? It hought the sudden irritation would cause problems with her vision, but so far everything is fine. Does your doctor still recommend building up to wearing these lenses all the time, or did the doctor tell you to start wearing them as long as you want? |

When I first got my contacts my doctor told me to only wear them an hour a day at first and then slowly build up until I could wear them all day.
But since your friend had worn contacts before maybe her eyes were used to them. If she didn't take them out or complain then I guess wearing them all the time was okay. |

initially it is advisable to wear the contact for short span because your eyes becomes adapt for the new things...if you wear it regularly in the beginning then it might harm you.
