So, which one of you there reading this forum site wants to tell everyone how old they were when they first started wearing contact lenses.
You don't have to say how long ago it was, but your age at the time.

I was in my thirties when I got my first pair of contacts. I never really wanted a pair but my eye doctor thought I should try a pair. I'm still much more comfortable with my glasses but I'm happy I did get the contacts.

Well, it has been a while. Let see. Hmm, I guess I wore them when I was around 25 years of age when I could afford them myself. Initially, I look quite funny with it as those early years of wearing glasses did change my face features nut as time goes by, I guess my face feature begin to adjust to the contact lenses wearing.

What do you mean your "face features begin to adjust to contact lens wearing"? How did your facial features change? I've never heard of that before. It sounds interesting.

Thirteen, wasn't really a vanity choice just desperately needed them after this one junior high basketball game where my glasses got knocked off like eight times, made it waaay easier after that, quite happy to have them.

Let's see we have 13, 16, 25 and "thirties." Looks like a tie for first place between Canavan and hardlens. Congratulations.

I got my first pair of contact lenses (as well as a pair of glasses) when I was 22 yrs old. I don't mind telling you all that I have been wearing contacts for almost 33 yrs now. Do the math. Guess that makes me the "Grandma" here on this particular board. LOL, LOL, LOL.

Hi Catt,

I saw your picture in another thread and I'm assuming it's a recent one. You look pretty good for the "Grandma." Even with purple eyes.

Not bad, not bad. However I think the people of Lens 101 would agree that we'd like to see your smile, too.
