I don't understand why people would want to sleep with their contacts in their eyes. I can understand if they fall asleep and take a nap but why wear them when you sleep at night?
I can't see without my glasses or contacts and if I wake up in the middle of the night and in the morning I just grab for my glasses. Why is it necessary to sleep with contacts? Am I missing something? |

Well, for one thing, you don't have to take them off and put them on in the next morning. It really takes out the inconvenience in messing with your contact lenses. We just treat it as parts of our human body, do you take out your limbs?

I think the idea of waking up and opening my eyes and instantly being able to see around me is intriguing.
I cannot even remember what that was like. It's not that a person can't just wake up and put on their glasses and see, it's the dream of that freedom we used to have before we needed glasses. |

Honestly I think the number one reason is probably that they are lazy. I'm not trying to be offensive, but our society is all about instant gratification, so the less you have to do in any respect the better.

The reason I do it is not because I am lazy per se (and no I didn't take offense at that) but I get up at 5:45 in the morning to go to work. The less I have to do at that time in the morning the better.

Because they don't want to see blurr images in their dreams.. Lol
on serious note people tends to get lazy when it comes to taking out contact lenses in the night that is the only reason i guess people don't want to take out lenses in the night |

I don't think it is about being lazy but about having choices.
They now make contacts that you can leave in for 30 days. You can make the choice to buy them and then wear them, day and night for those 30 days. If you want to take them out every night, buy a different kind of contacts. Choices are a wonderful thing. |

For sure contact lenses were developed to enhance poor eyesight. And it is good enough that there those which can be worn continuously for several days. Convenience is a plus factor.
