Those of you who gave up on glasses and now wear contact lenses, I'd like to ask you something - are glasses really that bad? Do you have any spectacle horror stories to tell so maybe more people will try contacts?

I personally like wearing my eye glasses more than my contacts. I don't know why anyone would give them up. Even if you wear your contacts all the time it's still important to have a pair of glasses around.

When I only needed them for reading small print, no. But my job is one where I don't want to keep hassling with taking glasses on and off. Also, I am picky about having anything on my face--masks, glasses, fake scars on Halloween, etc. I like a clear face.

I don't mind my glasses that much. I just get annoyed at how dirty they get, and how easily. With contacts you just have to close your eyes and they're protected.
I don't think glasses make people look unattractive anyway. Some of the most attractive girls I know (girlfriend included) wear glasses. |
