Default Itchy Eyes?

What could be the cause of itchy eyes in a contact lens wearer? Is there anything they can do at home to relieve the itch?

Default Dry eye relief- contacts

I get dry eyes while wearing my contacts when I am at work and sitting in front of a computer all day. My doctor mentioned to me that we don't blink as much while staring at something (like a computer, homework, etc.) and that that can dry out the eyes. My doctor gave me a sample of a dry eye mist that I went on to purchase online. It's called Nature's Tears, and it works wonders.

Hope that helps!

These are a "dry eye mist." These are not your typical eye "drops." I saw the commercial on the website and it showed a woman spraying this mist into her baby's eyes, so it must be very gentle. http://www.naturestears.com.

It's been about nine months since you posted this. Are you still "dryeyegurl"?

I've found that blinking a lot so I can generate my own natural tears helps me to relieve itchy eyes without using eye drops. I know they're supposed to be safe, but I just can't let something drip into my eyes like that. It's too weird for me.

Do you think that is just a normal feelings for those who are contact wearers? If this will happen to us, what is the best remedy for this? Are you going to discontinue using it for a day?

Itchy eyes are a common symptom of allergies. They also can occur occasionally if you have a cold or other illness.
