I am really bad about this, as I wear my makeup until I run out of it. My eyeliner will last about a year, and mascara about the same. My eye shadows are so old, that I am not sure how many years I have had them.

yes 6 month should be the maximum time to use your make...the you should start thinking of replacing it....

well the expiry of makeup depends upon the product life. Some of the product have life of only one month after the seal is open where some products have expiry of six months. So its better to check the product details.

i am not sure though... but as the make up gets old, you can feel that in texture and smell. It's not everyday that I apply make up and my make up last for a year or more. I just throw make ups that shows discoloration and change of texture and smell. With the expiration, can it be found somewhere?

Thanks everybody.
I suppose some of you are wondering, what does makeup have to do with contact lenses? Excellent question, and here's the short answer. Much of the makeup that women wear goes near their eyes, and so I was wondering about when you should be concerned about getting "expired" makeup in your eyes. Fortunately I've had no experience with makeup in the eye, but I suppose eye shadow powder wouldn't be as bad as dried out chunks. ![]() |
