Default High prescription contact lenses

Hello everyone,

I just went to the optometrist and gave me the following prescription:

Right OD: +9.75 (-4.25) 160*

Left OS: +9.75 (-4.50) 175*

where * = degrees

In the past I've gotten my contacts from Proclear Toric XR, but now I checked their web site and they don't carry +9.75... just either +9.50 or +10.00. My current contacts are +9.50, which they carry, but now have to find the +9.75.

So what do I do? Is there another company that carries this kind of prescription. Or if I stick to Proclear Toric XR, should I just get the +10 (which is the highest prescription they have)?

Thanks

Most manufacturers switch to 0.50 increments above about 8.00 or so. You might have to decide between the +9.50 and +10.00

Also, some maker don't even go past +6.50, like the Air Optix Aqua (seems there are a lot more high - than + people).

What brand did your optometrist prescribe for you? You may like them even better than the Proclear Toric XR.

An Americal company called Alden Optical makes an entire range of custom lenses to replace most lenses that are now discontinued. Its interesting because this company had done their home work and has matched most if not all disconntineud vial lenses, hard out of range powers and fits, and an entire line of enhancer tints with or without a pupil.

www.aldenoptical.com

they only deal with ecp's so you need to request that your ecp order from them or call the company to see who in your are deals with them.

good luck!!!
