Default Focus softcolors now gone Any Ideas where to go next?

Hi to all, I am new to this site and struggling to find information on the web so glad to have discovered your forum.
In Short I have been wearing focus monthly softcolors in evergreen for for approx 12 years. I have been purchasing from the US. As they were discontinued in Australia and now due to the Merger of Ciba Visioin with I think Alcon? Will be permanently discontinued. So I am Madly trying to find an Enhancer Without a pattern or ring or dot matrix effect, that is tinted through the pupil in this particular color. (enhancer) maybe.

I have found the acuvue 2 however their green, has a bluish tinge. I am looking for a more yellow green that is not to strong and leans toward a natural appearance. If anyone can recommend a product that is a simple enhancement without the bells and whistles that is appropriate for everyday use, I would be grateful.
I have purchased some recently but I need to resolve before stocks run out. Look forward to hearing from your collective brainstorming sorry about the long post. Thankyou

Alden optical bought out the Ciba vision cibasoft tinting process. You can get all enhancer tints in three intensities, with or without a clear pupil. They are yearly lenses.

All alden lenses and tints can only be custom ordered by your eye doc.

Have you fond some yellow green lenses that are to your liking?

Hey, im from Australia as well, and have been looking for the focus softcolors and now iv realised they are no longer available which is a shame. And I don't think we can order from that site, as the USA requires prescription from a DR where as we don't in Australia, so I was thinking if it was possible to have the local Dr create a prescription, so we can purchase from the US.

Although an alternative to softcolors (similar design) would be great without having to customise.

On the Lens.com website, the question is asked "Do you ship Internationally?" ane the answer is "Yes! We ship orders world wide every day. We ship via FedEx International. Delivery times vary based on the shipping method."

For more information about ordering internationally, see http://www.lens.com/common/faq/intlshipping.asp

Default Australian alternative to focus softcolors custom made

Hi to Luvbostonxo2's and snowboardwhitfield, thanks for the advice on Alden optical. I have since emailed them and unfortunately they do not provide services to Australia. However they did suggest an Australian company called .aclaus.com.au and forwarded my email ( very helpful). I have since spoken to the managing director Bruce Herbert, and he informed me their company only makes vistint and enhancers. *They come on limited colors and anything out of this range will obviously come at a cost. These lenses need to be ordered through your optometrist . So again thanks for the point in the right Direction you are a great help.
    *
I have since ordered lenses from aclaus.com whom did a custom tint at approx $85 a pair. Very expensive but they are comfortable they did a close match to the softcolor evergreen which is a light full tint no pupil hole. Although they will do with a pupil hole. Hope this helps*

Do you feel that those contact lenses were worth the price?

    Default Price value for money

No I don't think they are worth the money, I think I feel this way because I was buying my lenses from lens.com for around $33 for a box of 6. However they are comfortable, far more comfortable than my ciba softcolors I cannot feel them at all.
I am sort of stuck (fish in a barrel) because now this has to be a specialized service. As there is no competition for custom tint lenses in Australia and I cannot find an enhancer with this particular tint, and I am unable to find a mass produced product that even comes close to this.
That being said I have only the trial lenses at present and need to collect my Order, I wish Alden Optical provided lenses to overseas buyers. They were very helpful they passed my e-mail request onto aclaus in Australia. That being said aclaus was very accommodating and generous with their time on my query.

Default Ciba-Focus SoftColors Evergreen Replacement? Custom Tint?

When I found out that they were going to be discontinuing, 3 years ago I actually bought up every pair they had in the 3 different strengths I use. I wear them sparingly so I think I won’t run out for another 4 to 5 years at least. The expire date is 2015, but the doc said that if they are kept in a cool dark place, and as long as the seal isn’t broken, they would be fine long past that. I was hoping by that time I’d find a replacement. Can anyone tell me how to reach the company that does the custom tints? I also want a true pale green, like a grass green and have found nothing close. Every other contact I’ve tried has those opaque “optic dots and dashes” which are SO obviously fake. I have green hazel eyes and the Focus Evergreens make my eyes “glow” green. They look totally natural, but when the sun hits them, they are striking. I get compliments all the time.

    Default Focus softcolors Evergreen

    Hi all,

I have been wearing the Ciba Vision Softcolors in Evergreen for 25 years. It's now time to replenish my supply and sadly I discover they no longer exist. I realize this thread goes back a couple years so I hope by now someone out there might have some good info for me.

My eye dr did give me samples of green lenses, they must be the same samples you all spoke of, they have a dot matrix effect with a clear center. I don't like them at all. My eyes are green but these new lenses, even though they are green, give me a blue-ish tint which isn't flattering. one pair even has a bit of brown in it, that's worse. Even the "untinted/not colored" lenses are blue?! Is it no longer possible to get a solid tint??

I live in the US, and have left a message for Alden Optical, but I thought maybe there are more options out there I haven't come across yet.

Any help or suggestions would be much appreciated.

Any other suggestions on alternatives to Evergreen Focus Softcolors? Alden optical green #1 is DARK! I'm really sad....
