Default Can You Wear Monthly Contacts For a Month Non Stop

When they say that these are "monthly" contact lenses, does that mean you can put them in on the first of the month, and just leave them there until the end of the month?

It means monthly disposable lenses. U need to change them monthly. However, its haphazard to leave the lenses in your eyes for more than 24hrs. It will damage your cornea and you could go blind.

Cool how long?

it depends on what your Doctor tells you and what the instructions say about your particular contact lenses. some are made to be worn for more than 7 days straight but you still have to take them out for cleaning.

I have yet to see someone with lenses designed for extended wear, which usually means they are left in for more than 24 hours without interruption, that developed problems from sleeping in them.

The whole point behind getting "weeklies" or "monthlies" is to avoid having to remove them each night before sleeping.

I don't understand where you saw the warning about sleeping in them being hazardous to your health.

Where did you read this?

Cool instructions per package insert from website

The wearing and replacement schedules should be determined by the eye care practitioner. Patients tend to over-wear the lenses initially. The eye care practitioner should emphasize the importance of adhering to the initial maximum wearing schedule. Regular checkups, as determined by the eye care practitioner are also extremely important.
CooperVision recommends that the Frequency 55 Toric lens be discarded and replaced with a new lens on a frequent replacement basis. The eye care practitioner is encouraged to determine an appropriate lens replacement schedule based upon the response of the patient.
DAILY WEAR: (less than 24 hours, while awake). The maximum suggested wearing time is:
day/ hours
1/6
2/8
3/10
4/12
5/14
6/All waking hours
EXTENDED WEAR: (greater than 24 hours, including while asleep) Frequency 55 Toric lenses are suitable for extended wear. The wearing time should be determined by the eye care practitioner. First time wearers of contact lenses should begin by following the DAILY WEAR SCHEDULE above, as directed by the eye care practitioner.
CAUTION: Not every patient is able to wear Frequency 55 Toric lenses on an extended wear basis, even if able to wear the same lenses for daily wear. The eye care practitioner will determine the best wearing schedule for each patient. The patient should start with daily wear of the lenses before extended wear if so directed by the eye care practitioner. EXTENDED WEAR LENSES MUST BE REMOVED, CLEANED, AND DISINFECTED AT LEAST ONCE EVERY 7 DAYS, as recommended by the eye care practitioner. With extended wear, there may be increased risks of eye problems, such as irritation, infection, corneal thickening, and corneal ulcers. Therefore, proper contact lens care and periodic checkups are extremely important. EXTENDED WEAR PATIENTS REQUIRE FREQUENT AND CAREFUL MONITORING OF LENSES AND OCULAR HEALTH TO MINIMIZE COMPLICATIONS.

Sleeping in most contact lenses is considered dangerous because of the risk of rubbing your eyes in your sleep, and possibly scratching them.

Sleeping with contacts on also makes our eyes dry, so I try to avoid that. It hurts a lot when I try to take them off. >_<
