I saw a picture of someone wearing Natural Touch Opaque color contact lenses. There's a pattern of dots on the colored part that some people call "thunderbolts." Someone said that these "thunderbolts" are transparent and allow the wearer's natural color to come through. Can anybody confirm or deny that? Also, maybe someone can explain to me why the thunderbolts seem to have been printed on the contact lens by a dot-matrix printer? I can actually see square pixels in the iris, not natural-looking dots. Have you noticed that?

hi im a user of this brand, i have them in Sultry Grey and Baby Blue, being Sultry Grey my favorite, but both colors very beautiful.
These lenses are not printed with a dot matrix printer, the thunderbolts are like very thin squiggly lines of no color which allow for some of the translucency of the natural eye to be seen from outside as a general effect. Tne thunderbolts are very visible on macro closeup pictures, but very little in real life where they look only like soft shadows or a transition of color like the variegations of a natural iris. I'm gonna show you some pictures so you see them up close ok? On the eye
naturalgreyrh3.jpg Actually this lens, Natural Touch is a reinterpretation of an already existing lens called "Elegance". The Elegance lens only sold in Europe uses the same pattern but at the moment of making the lens they use a different machine that stamps the pattern in two steps, and in the case of Elegance the thunderbolts are printed in dark ink but they look very natural, not computerized because the Elegance printing system makes them look like handpainted. Natural Touch process instead is only a direct photocopy (like if you print the pattern with a laser printer) and they dont look handpainted, but the appearance on the eye of both lenses is very similar, just that Elegance is glossier This is an Elegance Dark Blue lens for comparison darkblueyq1.jpg Elegance Gray ![]() I hope i solved your doubt! Wow. Those were some amazing pictures. Those jumbo large ones were a little scary! Thanks for taking the time to explain a few things about these contacts and posting the pictures. Those thunderbolts to add an interesting effect.
Have a great day! |

I recently bought the NT in bably blue. I have had to order them 3 times and I am still experiencing problems with them. They look different and they blur my vision. By different I mean, they don't look as natural as they used to look years ago. I have been using NT for 12 years now and they changed how they make them. I am not using Expressions and am not happy with the overall look of it. The NT used to look so eye-catching. Any suggestions?

I have a pair of Natural Touch contact lenses in Baby Blue, that I got yesterday by mail. I totally wish I could keep them, but they are the wrong size. So my loss is your gain. Please reply if you would like to purchase them.
These are the specifics: the base curve is 8.3, the diameter is 14, the power of the lenses are -2.0 (both eyes). These lenses are made by Coopervision, they are brand new, only used for like 15 minutes. Thanks ![]() |

Yeah, no kidding. There's no mistaking the fact that Ms. Hilton is wearing color contacts in that picture.

im debating which color to get first because its so expensive and i've just got this other solotica contacts for $110 lately, so i was wondering which ones better?? The sultry gray or baby blue?? I have black hair and i usually do natural make up, do u think the baby blue will look really fake on me? my eyes are dark brown-almost black. What do u think? I also heard the sultry gray looks blue in some cases. Please help out. Also, i've just heard about baby blue and sultry gray, but i've seen these other pics that i think it might be other colors of this brand? Or is it still between these two- just lights reflecting it.

I feel the platinum one is brighter than the natural touch. i dont know .. heres an image. This is a pic i found of this girl with baush and lomb contacts , let me know which one i should go for. They're both baush and lomb- platinum. Same contacts, different light. thanks. |

So both pictures show this young lady wearing Bausch and Lomb platinum contact lenses? Are they B & L Natural Touch Opaque? If that picture a few posts above with the hands in the hair is you, the Platinum should go well with your skin tone and dark hair. |

Good. It's a bad idea to order contacts without a current prescription. If you try and they don't ask you for a prescription, you'd best move on.

That's right. Listen to Scienceguy. Don't buy contact lenses without a prescription. Even the ones that don't correct vision need a prescription.
