I've heard about people sharing novelty contact lenses. Is this a safe practice? I can't imagine it would be, but what if you only did it once or twice? What are the risks involved?

Sharing contact lenses is a bad idea. For one thing, contact lenses, even novelty contacts, are medical devices. If they are prescription, then obviously sharing contacts with someone that has a different prescription won't work out very well.
Secondly, sharing contacts carries a significant risk of transmitting bacteria and eye infections. As far as "only doing it once or twice" would you like to have someone cough or sneeze in your face just "once or twice"? So don't share contacts, okay? |
