I have a friend who is color blind, but I don't think he wears contact lenses. He may be interested in the article I just read. Apparently this person who wrote the article has trouble telling the difference between red and green. This is fairly common, I understand. Anyway, this person was fitted with one green contact and one red one. Now he says he can recognize red and green because now red looks brighter in one eye and darker in the other.
Frankly this sounds kind of fishy to me. What would be the point of a person who is color blind wearing red and green lenses when they can't see those colors? Why don't the rest of us just go out and buy "infrared" contact lenses? Maybe I don't know what I'm talking about - which is always a strong possibility. Can someone help me out? |

Hi everybody. It's me again.
I just found out about something called Colorview contact lenses. They're supposed to help color blind people (Does anybody know a single word to describe "color blind people"?) to, well, view colors. I went to the website to find out how they work, but it's very technical and I didn't understand it. Has anybody had experience with these Colorview contacts and can tell me, not only how they work, but how well they work? Are they just for red-green color blindness, or all types? I'd appreciate any feedback. Thanks. |
